The Bazaar Bargain is a community-created primary weapon for the Sniper. It is an ornately-carved rifle with a curved stock. A small lens is used as a makeshift scope, and a laser sight is attached underneath the barrel.
Compared to the default Sniper Rifle, this weapon has a 50% slower charge rate. However, it also features a "Heads" counter; for each successful headshot, 1 head is added to the counter, increasing the weapon's charge rate by 25%. This bonus caps out at 6 heads, at which point the weapon has a 100% faster charge rate than the default Sniper Rifle. Upon death, all heads are lost and the weapon's charge rate is subsequently reset to its base speed.
A player wielding the Bazaar Bargain cannot steal additional heads from enemies who have also collected heads.[1] Only one head is added to the Bazaar Bargain's counter per headshot kill, regardless of the number of additional heads that the target had collected before dying. Despite this, the heads collected by a player wielding the Bazaar Bargain can still be stolen by a Demoman wielding the Eyelander, Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker or Nessie's Nine Iron, a Soldier wielding the Air Strike, or a Medic wielding the Vita-Saw.
This item was previously tested in the Team Fortress 2 Beta as the Beta Sniper Rifle 1.
