La Carapace humaine est un objet cosmétique crée par la communauté pour l'Engineer. Elle donne à l'Engineer une carapace, un plastron, et la queue d'une tortue.

Cet objet ne peut être porté que pendant Halloween ou durant une Pleine Lune; le reste de l'année, il n'apparaît pas dans le jeu, à moins que le serveur n'ait le mode Halloween activé. Cependant, il peut être équipé à tout moment et peut toujours être vu sur l'écran d'équipement même s'il n'est pas visible durant le jeu.

La Carapace humaine a été attribuée au Steam Workshop.
