The Noise Maker is a tool that was introduced during the Scream Fortress update. When equipped in an action slot and used, a noise is played to all the other players on a server. Each Noise Maker (except for the Stabby Noise Maker) has 3 unique sounds that will randomly play when used.

Each Noise Maker can be used 25 times before it is removed from the Backpack.

Noise Makers are action items. Each is represented in the backpack as a small device with a large button and two small LED lights at the bottom. The design varies with each version.
 +

 +
When a Noise Maker is equipped in the action slot and used, a noise is played to all nearby players on the server. Most Noise Makers have multiple unique sounds that can randomly play when used, with the exception of "Stabby", which has only one possible sound.
 +

 +
Each Noise Maker, aside from "TF Birthday" and "Winter Holiday", can only be used 25 times before being removed from the player's backpack.

Halloween Noise Makers could only be purchased from the Mann Co. Store during the Scream Fortress Update event. There were eight Noise Makers, one of which was unused. The seven usable Noise Makers could be purchased as a pack. Upon using any one of these noise makers, a particle effect consisting of orange ghosts and white music notes would be spawned temporarily around the user's head.

 +

 +
The TF Birthday Noise Maker was introduced with the 8 and is awarded to all players who play during Team Fortress birthday celebration, from the 15th anniversary onwards, along with the Party Hat. Like the Winter Holiday Noise Maker, it has unlimited uses and produces a unique particle effect, but cannot be used outside of the Team Fortress birthday event, though servers that have Birthday mode enabled can bypass this restriction. The icon on its button resembles the cake icon from Portal, albeit with its cherry removed.

What was noise?
The Heavy

Noise Makers are action items. Each is represented in the backpack as a small device with a large button and two small LED lights at the bottom. The design varies with each version.

When a Noise Maker is equipped in the action slot and used, a noise is played to all nearby players on the server. Most Noise Makers have multiple unique sounds that can randomly play when used, with the exception of "Stabby", which has only one possible sound.

Each Noise Maker, aside from "TF Birthday" and "Winter Holiday", can only be used 25 times before being removed from the player's backpack.

Noise Makers

Scream Fortress Update

The unique particle effect spawned by using any of the seven Halloween noise makers.

The unique particle effect spawned by using the TF Birthday and Vuvuzela noise maker.

The TF Birthday Noise Maker was introduced with the August 23, 2011 Patch and is awarded to all players who play during Team Fortress' birthday celebration, from the 15th anniversary onwards, along with the Party Hat.
