The Birdcage is a community-created cosmetic item for the Pyro. It is a brass birdcage that fits around the Pyro's head and holds a small team-colored bird sitting on its perch inside that swings about.
When players equipped with this item kill an enemy unassisted by another player, the killfeed shows everyone in Pyroland that it gets the assist, with its custom name if it has one.
The Birdcage was contributed to the Steam Workshop.
