The Freedom Staff is a promotional melee weapon for all classes, with the exception of the Engineer and Spy. It is an aquila with a splintered end.

This item functions identically to the wielder's default melee weapon.

It was awarded in Genuine quality to players who purchased the Total War Master Collection before October 1, 2012. Owning all of the games in the collection prior to October 1, 2012 also grants the Freedom Staff.

  • The Freedom Staff's description references Kofi Annan, a former Secretary-General of the United Nations.
  • The Freedom Staff was originally created as a promotional item for Rome: Total War and exclusive to the Soldier. [1]
  • The "ten thousand years ago" mentioned in the description is a reference to when the first hunter-gatherers reached the North American arctic region, or when precursors to the Anasazi migrated into what would become the southwest United States.
