“ | Your friends (enemies) will squeal with delight (be consumed with fire) when you cover them with sparkling rainbows (all consuming fire).
— Rainblower publicity blurb.

The Rainblower is a primary weapon for the Pyro. It appears as a series of four brass horns and one silver horn with long, spiraling piping and a container of sparkly team-colored fluid. It sprays out a stream of colorful bubbles and rainbows. This item may only be seen in-game by users who are in Pyroland, however, it will show up as the Rainblower in the deathcam. A Pyro with the Rainblower equipped will be shown as having the Flame Thrower to players not in Pyroland. The Rainblower makes wind chime and bubbling sounds when fired. It also makes very light tinkling sounds when deployed but not fired.
Direct damage by the Rainblower will disrupt healing and shield resists from a Medi Gun by 25%.
Taunting with the Rainblower equipped will perform the Armageddon kill taunt, igniting and potentially killing anyone in the area. Unlike other Pyroland-related items, players not in Pyroland will also see this taunt, but with a slight difference; instead of forming a rainbow at the beginning of the taunt, the Pyro will appear to breathe a stream of fire from its mouth. The damage halves for every player hit, making it possible to survive.
In combat this weapon functions identically to the Flame Thrower.

Note: Flame damage is proportional to particle lifetime instead of distance from target. Unlike most weapons, Critical hits are also affected by the scaling. Additionally, there is a very slight damage variance (±0.08 / particle) due to differences in particle angles.

Bugs
- This weapon does not glow when crit boosted.
- Furthermore, when crit boosted, the sound is of the original flamethrower.
- When in spectator mode and spectating a player with the Rainblower, the Rainblower shoots out the default particles from the Flame Thrower.
- As with most other taunts, performing the Rainblower's taunt and being knocked into the air will cancel the taunt but not its animation. However, it will also leave the taunt's particle effects at the place the taunt was initially performed, though it will not damage enemies.
- This will also occur if the player is killed during the taunt animation.
Trivia
- The Rainblower's concept of being seen only in Pyroland comes from Meet the Pyro, where Pyro sees its flamethrower as the Rainblower, and its fire as rainbows.
- The Rainblower, along with the Stock Rocket Launcher and Flame Thrower were obtainable in Saints Row IV by pre-ordering the game on Steam.
