The Dead Heat is a community-created cosmetic item for the Pyro. It turns the Pyro's head into a mechanical head made of a light brown metal, with two exhaust pipes coming out of the mouth that turn back and feature black and yellow hazard stripes near their ends, a grate on the right side, and two back cables on the back. The mouth's interior and the eyes glow orange and yellow with changing intensity, and the jaw moves slightly with the player's movements.
The Dead Heat was contributed to the Steam Workshop.
