The Huo-Long Heater is a community-created promotional primary weapon for the Heavy, which he has named "Sheila"[1]. It is an antique-looking, partially team-colored machine gun made of wood and metal, which features a traditional Chinese dragon's head mounted on the muzzle of the gun and a hexagonal, chest-resembling ammo drum. The name comes from the Chinese word for "fire dragon" (火龙, huǒlóng).
The Huo-Long Heater emits constant rings of fire around the player's feet while the weapon is spun-up, with either the primary or secondary fire buttons. Its base damage and afterburn from the rings of fire are also increased by 25% against burning players as long as the weapon is the active weapon. However, this comes at the cost of 4 ammo lost per second while spun-up, and 10% less base damage compared to the default Minigun.
The Huo-Long Heater was awarded in Genuine quality to players who pre-ordered Sleeping Dogs on Steam before August 14, 2012, or August 17, 2012 in Europe.
The Huo-Long Heater was later contributed to the Steam Workshop, at Valve's request.

Bugs
- The Genuine variant viewmodel is not affected by the "Use minimized viewmodels" option.
- The fire ring can damage enemies while underwater.
- The ring can have an Afterburn effect on a Pyro if the Pyro has been injured by another Huo-Long Heater.
- Holding secondary fire and tapping primary fire with one bullet left will cause the Minigun to play the firing animation loop despite having no ammo, this is visible in third person and by other players.
- When holding the primary fire button during a taunt the Huo-Long Heater's muzzle flash turns invisible.
Trivia
- The weapon was originally designed to be a firework cannon, but was changed into more of a gun shape at Valve’s request. [2]
- If the contributors were unable to make the proper changes to the weapon in time, then Wrath of Wan Hu, a Pyro flamethrower with a similar theme submitted before the promotion, would have taken the Huo-Long Heater’s place. However, Huo-Long Heater was finished in time.[3]
- The weapon's name and appearance are based on the Chinese God called Huang Long. He is a large gold (or yellow) dragon, according to Chinese mythology.
