The Ham Shank is a promotional melee weapon equippable by all classes with the exception of the Engineer and the Spy. It is a large, jiggleboned chunk of ham with a bone stuck inside, which is used as a handle.

This weapon functions identically to the wielder's default melee weapon.

This item was awarded in Genuine quality to players who pre-purchased Don't Starve on Steam before April 23rd, 2013.

Bugs

• Due to a glitch with the jigglebones, this weapon's viewmodel will occasionally twist up, giving a deformed look.

Trivia

• This item's name and description are a word play on two different meanings of the word "shank", one being a cut of meat, the other being a makeshift knife or shiv.
• The Ham Shank is also a usable weapon in "Don't Starve", the game where the weapon comes from.
• The term "ham" can be used to describe an over-the-top actor and exaggerated emotions.
