The Giger Counter is a community-created secondary weapon for the Engineer. It is an Aliens inspired Motion Tracker with a joystick attacked to the top of the handle. It also emits a team-colored light that glows in the dark.

This weapon functions identically to the Wrangler.

The Giger Counter was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

• This item's name is a portmanteau of "Geiger counter", an instrument used for measuring ionizing radiation, and H. R. Giger, a surrealist artist who heavily influenced science fiction art and designed the Alien creature, among other things.
• The design of the weapon seems to be based specifically on the M314 Motion Tracker, a fictional tool that first appeared on the 1986 movie Aliens.
