This article is about the taunt item. For the video, see Meet the Medic.
Let's go practice medicine...
The Medic

The Meet the Medic is an action item for the Medic. Upon activation, the Medic takes a heroic pose with his secondary weapon, as a bright light and doves surround him to the tune of an angelic choir.

The pose is similar to several shots in the Meet the Medic video, notably the closing shot of the Medic atop a pile of Soldier corpses.

Bugs

  • Taunting while you're waist-high in water makes an extremely loud sound from the dove entities colliding with the water; this sound can be heard by all players regardless of their location on the map.
  • Doves fly from beneath the Medic's feet and clip through his body.
  • Taunting on a medieval server causes the Medic to perform the taunt with their currently equipped weapon. This causes clipping issues and has the associated effects of taunting with the Amputator or Übersaw, if those are equipped.
  • Owning the taunt may cause replay footage showing the aura as well as playing the sound around your player (regardless of the class in the replay).
  • Healing is not disabled while taunting: if MOUSE1 is held or the continuous healing option is enabled the player can keep healing a target during the animation.
