The Frying Pan is a melee weapon used by the Soldier and Demoman classes. It is simply a black Frying Pan made of cast iron.
Gameplay-wise, this weapon has no discernable differences from the Shovel or Bottle. The weapon was earned by purchasing Left 4 Dead 2 before October 7th, 2010. Players also received Ellis' Cap as a part of this promotion.[1]
It was possible to craft this weapon using a melee slot token, class token, and scrap metal before the ability to do so was disabled.
