Equipping all items in the set enables additional voice responses and allows the Soldier to perform the Robot Dance taunt.
This set includes Halloween-restricted items and can only be worn around Halloween or during a Full Moon; at other times of the year, it does not appear in gameplay nor grant its effect, unless the server has Halloween mode enabled. However, it can be equipped at any time and can still be viewed on the loadout screen even when it is not visible during games.

- The Tin Soldier was added to the game.
Trivia
- The Very Scary Halloween Update page depicts the Soldier with this set and a flyswatter equipped, though no flyswatter weapon exists in the final set. There is, however, an unused kill icon for it in the game files.
- The name "Tin Soldier" is a reference to the late 19th century children's toy of the same name; and, from that origin, "tin soldier" came to mean someone who plays at being a soldier.
- The Tin Soldier plays an important part in the comic Shadow Boxers, in which the Soldier uses it to infiltrate a meeting of Gray Mann's robots.
- The Soldier wears the Tin Soldier in the comic Gargoyles & Gravel.
