The Cow Mangler 5000 is a primary weapon for the Soldier.

The weapon has the ability to fire charged shots that deal mini-crits, as well as disable buildings for 4 seconds. However, it deals less damage to buildings, and it cannot fire any critical hits. The weapon does not use ammo, but the weapon can only be fired five times before the Soldier has to reload the weapon. The Soldier reloads the weapon via pumping a handle on the side of the weapon. Each pump reloads one charge.

A charged shot ignites nearby enemies when it explodes. As well as the player who shot it if it explodes close to them. It can also ignite ally Sniper's Huntsman arrows.
