Earning the Enthusiast's Timepiece
This weapon can be easy to get, or very hard. If you have Poker Night at the Inventory, and have played it, you will know some of the characters pay bets with items. These are TF2 items. If you beat the character betting it, you will earn it and can use it in TF2. Now, to earn it, when you start a new game, Tycho has to place it as a bet in a cutscene - If he does not do this, you will not earn it if you beat him. Poker Night at the Inventory
Special Item: Tycho Knock out Tycho after he's bought in with his special item. |
Update history
- The Enthusiast's Timepiece was added to the game.
- [Item schema update] The item could no longer be obtained via the item drop system or crafting.
Bugs
- Like the Dead Ringer, with which it shares its Cloak meter animation, the Cloak meter displayed on the watch does not properly correspond to the actual amount of Cloak available. [1]
- Enabling flipped viewmodels will cause the Cloak meter animation to appear blank.
Trivia
- When Tycho first shows the watch to Gabe, the co-star of the Penny Arcade webcomic, Gabe kills Tycho to obtain it. The watch has since changed hands repeatedly through the characters murdering each other. [1][2]
- The Cloak meter emulates the Pac-Man derived logo commonly seen worn on Gabe's shirt[3] as well as a tattoo on his arm.[4]
- The version of the watch presented in Poker Night at the Inventory is stained with blood on the left of its face. However, the version obtained in Team Fortress 2 has no blood.
