The Sniper on perfect accuracy

The Bazaar Bargain is a primary weapon for the Sniper. It is a long ornately carved rifle with a small circular sight attached to a long rod, secured with golden straps; the stock is curved with a golden recoil pad. This weapon was revealed on the second day of the Über Update.

The Bazaar Bargain has it base charge rate decreased by 20%. Successfully scoring a headshot increases the charge rate of the next shot by 10%. On the other hand, taking body shots lengthens the charge time by reducing the headshot count by one, and missing a shot completely clears the bonus. The bonus caps out at a 30% faster charge time, after 5 consecutive headshots. Unscoped shots will not affect the charge rate. This weapon can only hold 7 heads. After the 7th on the head count stops keeping track.

This item was previously tested in the Team Fortress 2 Beta as the Beta Sniper Rifle 1.

Trivia

  • The Bazaar Bargain is based on the jezail, a type of musket that was commonly used in the Middle East. While the quality and manufacture of such weapons differed widely, a common feature of these weapons lay in their use of a heavily curved stock and rifled barrels, the latter of which gave them a great advantage in range and accuracy over the smoothbore firearms that were commonly used up until the mid-19th century.
  • A 'Template:W' is a Persian word which describes large markets where goods are sold. Bazaars can be found across the world, though they are most common in the Middle East, primarily in Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.
