The Back Scratcher is a melee weapon for the Pyro. It appears as a gardening rake with a wooden handle and a green metal head that has bloodstains on the teeth. When equipped, this weapon increases melee damage by 25% and raises healing from health packs by 50%. But this is at the cost of 75% slower healing from Medics and Dispensers. The rate at which ÜberCharge is filled is not slowed, allowing heavily injured Pyros to greatly build a Medic's ÜberCharge.

Bugs
- Health received from a Medic using the Crusader's Crossbow heals as per normal instead of at a hampered rate.
- Due to the size of the head of the rake, it clips significantly with the Pyro's leg when taunting.

- The item was added to the Mann Co. Store, made craftable, and included in random drops.
Trivia
- The Back Scratcher was originally a skin for the Axtinguisher in the fan-made Fancy vs. Nasty Update.
- The stats for the Back Scratcher were originally given to The Endless Carnage: a Pyro melee weapon from the fan-made Advanced Weaponiser.
