Genuine Black Rose 1 - 100 Slay it with flowers.

The Black Rose is a promotional melee weapon for the Spy. It is a serrated team-colored butterfly knife with roses engraved on the blade and a symbol of a rose with a circle around is imprinted on the grip. Its Baccara style colors the weapon almost entirely black.

The Black Rose is awarded to players who complete the Alliance of Valiant Arms achievement 1st One Down by creating a character and playing their first game.

This weapon functions identically to the standard Knife.

Spymaster Backstab 1000 enemies. The Man from P.U.N.C.T.U.R.E. Stab an enemy while fencing. The Man with the Broken Guns Backstab an Engineer, then sap 3 of his buildings within 10 seconds. Triplecrossed Backstab 3 Snipers in a single life. Wetwork Stab an enemy to death while under the influence of Jarate. You Only Shiv Thrice Backstab 3 enemies within 10 seconds.

• Baccara is another name for a black rose.
• Black roses symbolize many dark emotions, prominently among them is revenge.
• The weapon's description is a play on the phrase "Say it with flowers" which is commonly associated with the giving of roses to loved ones.
