What is better than killing a man with a highly explosive high velocity projectile launcher? Killing a man with a highly explosive high velocity projectile launcher that YOU HAVE MADE!
Beggar's Bazooka publicity blurb

The Beggar's Bazooka is a primary weapon for the Soldier. It is a crude Rocket Launcher made from pipes, mismatched handles and a filter held together with bolts, electrical tape, and various straps and belts. A funnel is attached to the end as a makeshift exhaust port.

The Beggar's Bazooka starts with 0 rounds in its clip. Upon pressing and holding down primary fire, the Soldier will begin loading rockets into the front of the launcher, and will continue to do so as long as primary fire is held down. Upon releasing, the Soldier will fire all stored rockets in quick succession, each with a maximum spread of 3 degrees. Up to three rockets can be loaded and fired in this fashion; however, if the player attempts to load a fourth rocket, it will misfire, heavily damaging the Soldier and any enemies around him. If the player has no ammo in reserve, any rounds in the Beggar's Bazooka's clip will not be fired until the primary fire key is released. Misfires can be used for powerful rocket jumps, due to its largely damaging explosion occurring very near to the player.

The Beggar's Bazooka cannot collect ammo from Dispensers, so Soldiers using the weapon must rely on collecting ammo from ammo packs, using the Resupply Cabinet or picking up weapons dropped by dead players.

The Beggar's Bazooka was contributed to the Steam Workshop under the name "Doe's Dumpster Device".

June 28, 2012 Patch

Bugs

  • As with all rocket-using primary weapons, excluding the Rocket Launcher and the Original, the Soldier does not load any rockets while reloading.
  • If the player is stunned, scared or taunts while loading rockets, the Soldier will fire all loaded rockets similarly to the Cow Mangler 5000's charged shot.
  • Rockets will occasionally hang stationary in the air until a player runs into it.
  • Tapping the primary fire button will cause the shot to not play the firing sound.
  • Sometimes, when the Beggar's Bazooka is overloaded, there's a chance a random player on the enemy team will also take the explosion damage, no matter where they are.
