The Übersaw is an unlockable melee weapon for the Medic class. It appears as a cleaver-like blade featuring a large syringe with its needle protruding out of the edge, and the Bonesaw's grip.
Every successful hit with this weapon adds 25% to the player's ÜberCharge meter, at the cost of a 20% slower swing rate than the Bonesaw's. This effect still applies to a Scout under the effects of Bonk! Atomic Punch; however, the Scout will not receive any damage. Its Critical hit animation is an upwards sawing motion, the same for the Bonesaw.
The vial on the Übersaw's syringe serves as a visual representation of the Medic's ÜberCharge. It fills slowly as teammates are healed and players are attacked by the weapon. Should the ÜberCharge be deployed and the player switches to the Übersaw, the liquid can be seen slowly draining from the syringe.
Taunting with the Übersaw equipped will perform the deadly Spinal Tap attack.

Previous changes
- Before the January 13, 2010 Patch, taunting with the Übersaw would play the same Bonesaw taunt but with a deeper viola tone rather than a violin sound. (See Video.)
Trivia
There were various beta versions of the weapon, featuring effects such as -25% damage done or on hit -20 health.
- In the censored version of TF2, the Übersaw and the Axtinguisher are not stained with blood.
- An unused alternate version of the Übersaw tauntkill icon appears in the game files, seen to the right.
