The Righteous Bison is a secondary weapon for the Soldier. It is a handheld retro-future or steampunk styled ray gun.
This weapon fires an unreflectable projectile that delivers reduced damage against buildings but is capable of piercing through targets; it is possible to hit the same target repeatedly with the same shot as well as multiple targets in a direct line. The projectile deals damage every 45 milliseconds. It does not feature the traditional ammo reserve used by other weapons. Additionally, it can be used to light Huntsman arrows held by a friendly Sniper.
Enemies killed by the Bison suffer a unique death; they will turn black and hover in mid-air, performing a specific disintegration animation, while surrounded by team-colored particles.
