Ideal for atomizing moon soldiers or neighborhood dogs at your earliest convenience!
Manmelter publicity blurb

The Manmelter is a secondary weapon for the Pyro.

Similar to the Righteous Bison, this weapon fires unreflectable energy blasts with no ammo requirement. In addition, it has the ability to extinguish teammates on fire with the alt-fire button. By doing so, the weapon stores a guaranteed critical hit for use later, similar to the Frontier Justice or Diamondback.

This item was named the "Manmelter 3600 ZX" in promotional materials from the TF2 blog and Weta Workshop.

December 15, 2011 Patch (Australian Christmas 2011)

  • The Manmelter was added to the game.

Bugs

  • By switching weapons before the projectile fired from this weapon hits an enemy, the projectile will act like a flare fired from the Flare Gun. As such it will deliver a critical hit against ignited enemies.
  • The Manmelter has the Flare Gun kill icon.
  • The Pyro holds the Manmelter like a flamethrower in the store's preview.

Trivia

  • The appearance of this weapon is based on that of 'The Manmelter 3600ZX Sub-Atomic Disintegrator Pistol', which can be purchased from the online store at Weta Workshop.
