Home Run is the taunt kill unique to the Sandman. Upon the Scout equipping it and taunting, he will point to the sky (a homage to Template:W), wind up and swing with an extreme force that will launch anyone slow, unaware, or simply unfortunate enough to be caught in the attack, flying over a ridiculous distance. A successful hit will result in the cheers of an invisible crowd. Overall, the attack has a 5 second wind-up time, making it both the longest taunt in the game as well as the longest kill taunt.

Previous Changes

• Originally, the Scout was meant to speak while pointing for the duration of the taunt. This was later patched and cut out.

Trivia

• The point at which the taunt will kill enemies is when the Scout starts to come in for the swing, not when the bat comes into contact.
• The associated achievement, Out of The Park, can only be awarded if the enemy ragdoll travels 25 meters. However, this distance does not have to done in a single taunt attack; merely taunt killing enemies so that the sum of the distance their ragdoll travels equals 25 meters will be sufficient and award you the achievement.
• Players can perform this taunt in conjunction with Bonk! Atomic Punch. Should the Scout take a drink, and immediately taunt with his Sandman, the taunt will be performed exactly during the period of invincibility. If not done quickly enough, the radiation will wear off and cut off the taunt.
