The Batter's Beak is a community-created cosmetic item for the Scout. It turns the Scout's head into that of the Catcher's Companion.

The head comes with fully-enabled facial flexing for voice commands and responses.

This item can only be worn around Halloween or during a Full Moon; at other times of the year, it does not appear in gameplay, unless the server has Halloween mode enabled. However, it can be equipped at any time and can still be viewed on the loadout screen even when it is not visible during games.

The Batter's Beak was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

Due to how the textures are set up, painting the Batter's Beak with single color Paint Cans results in different colorization on the paint regions between teams.

  • [Undocumented] Fixed a typo that prevented the equip_regions of the Batter's Beak from working properly.

March 1, 2023 Patch

  • [Undocumented] Reverted the previous change to the equip_region of the Batter's Beak.

Notes

  • The Batter's Beak is set up to have equip regions for "Whole Head" and "Head Skin", but does not due to incorrectly using equip_region to define multiple equip regions.
