The Amputator is a melee weapon for the Medic class. It is a saw with angular edges and a distinct handle.
Despite being identical to the Bonesaw, when the player taunts with this weapon a Medicating Melody is produced and all nearby teammates are healed. This process allows multiple healings to occur at once.
Should teammates within the taunt's area successfully kill a teammate, the Medic will be credited with an assist kill.

Bugs
- There is currently a bug that allows players to use the Amputator taunt to permanently heal other players until the map changes. [1]
- The Amputator is capable of healing a Soldier with the Equalizer equipped, despite the Equalizer's healing block.
