The Atomizer is a community-created melee weapon for the Scout. It is a slightly worn aluminum baseball bat, fitted with a black ribbed grip and team-colored stripes and bands; a Bonk! logo is emblazoned on the "barrel".
The Atomizer grants the wielder the ability to triple jump while the weapon is fully deployed. However, the Atomizer deploys 50% slower than the default Bat. As a triple jump does not initiate in the middle of the weapon's deploy animation, the Scout must wait for the Atomizer to fully deploy to take advantage of the triple jump. The deploy penalty leaves the Scout without long range damage options for longer, making him more vulnerable to enemy attacks.
Upon a successful triple jump, a cloud of purple smoke trails behind the Scout, as opposed to the normal white cloud. Also, while airborne, attacks with this weapon deal mini-crits, making the Scout dangerous to approach while mid-air. As a downside, the Atomizer deals 15% less damage to players. Scouts can exploit the Atomizer's triple jump to become more mobile and reach previously inaccessible areas.
Taunting with the Atomizer equipped results in the Grand Slam kill taunt.

October 20, 2017 Patch (Jungle Inferno Update)
- Changed attributes:
- Triple-jump is now only possible while the bat is deployed.
- Removed self-inflicted damage when triple-jumping.
- Removed attack speed penalty.
- Melee attacks done while airborne mini-crit.
- Added 50% deploy time penalty.
- Reduced damage penalty vs players to -15% (from -20%).[1]
- Fixed a Scout bug where mini-crits were granted to weapons other than The Atomizer while jumping.
- Updated the Atomizer damage penalty vs players to -15% (from -25%).
- The weapon must now be fully deployed before a triple jump can be performed.
Bugs
