The Manmelter is a secondary weapon for the Pyro.
The weapon fires flaming bolts of energy that function identically to flares, except they have unlimited ammunition, and will not inflict critical hits on flaming players, or in fact, for any reason at all other than the guaranteed crits gathered by the alt-fire. Holding the alt-fire button will extinguish teammates on fire and earn a guaranteed critical hit for each one, which will be stored for later use, similar to the Frontier Justice or Diamondback.
Enemies killed by the Manmelter suffer a distinctive death by incineration, where they disintegrate into smoldering orange cinders that quickly fade away.
Taunting with the Manmelter active allows the Pyro to perform a deadly Hadouken.
This item was named the "Manmelter 3600 ZX" in promotional materials from the TF2 blog and Weta Workshop.
