The Quick-Fix is a secondary weapon for the Medic. It is a prototype Medi Gun with a group of three gauges on one side, a (cosmetic) ÜberCharge gauge on the other side, and what appears to be a blender for a body. The main gun is coupled with a medicinal reactor backpack with glowing portions that replaces Medic's default backpack.
Compared to the stock Medi Gun, the Quick-Fix heals players 40% faster and builds ÜberCharge 10% faster, but it has half the overheal capabilities, only able to raise health to 125% of maxmimum instead of 150%. It remains able to maintain greater overheal that has been obtained from another source. Deploying the ÜberCharge triples the healing rate and also heals the Medic at the same rate, while also providing immunity to all movement-impairing effects, such as knockback, stun, and slowdown; the charge does nothing to reduce incoming damage, making it ineffective against lethal damage.
Like the other Medi Guns, the Quick-Fix lets the Medic match the speed of the patient he is actively healing. However, it also allows him to copy a patient's explosive jump or shield charge, sending the Medic an equal force in the same direction, allowing him to follow teammates that launch themselves across the map (although after the initial force the Medic must control his own flight). This effect only functions when healing a Soldier, Demoman, or Pyro, and it only works on Medics directly healing the patient (it cannot be transferred across a chain of Medics). Finally, when healing a patient that fires a Grappling Hook, the Medic will travel in the same direction at the same speed as the patient, and remain suspended until the hook or the healing is released.
The Quick-Fix was previously tested in Team Fortress 2 Beta. The Beta Quick-Fix, a separate variant of the weapon, was also available for use in the beta.

Update history
- [Undocumented] Added stats for Quick-Fix.
June 23, 2011 Patch (Über Update)

- Fixed the Quick-Fix showing the fire overlay when running in DX8.
- Added/Refined recoil/draw/crit/reload forces for the Quick-Fix.
- Fixed a bug where Medics using the Quick-Fix could easily identify disguised Spies.
- Fixed a bug where healing a Scout while they change class in the spawn room would allow the Medic to keep the Scout speed.
- [Undocumented] Added team-colored overlay for Quick-Fix users during the ÜberCharge.
- [Undocumented] Fixed a mistake for the Quick-Fix blueprint displaying refined instead of reclaimed as the required metal for crafting.
- Fixed a case where health overheal wasn't being applied when multiple healers were involved.

- [Undocumented] The Quick-Fix no longer maintains overheal.
- Fixed the Quick-Fix's "immunity to movement-impairing effects" attribute not being honored by the Pyro's airblast.
- Fixed the Quick-Fix not maintaining overhealed health.
June 27, 2012 Patch (Pyromania Update)
- Medic mirrors blast jump of their heal target.
- [Undocumented] The Quick-Fix now gains speed from all sources of speed increase, such as the Eyelander and Gas Jockey item set.
- Fixed a Medi Gun exploit that could leave players indefinitely invulnerable.
- This was fixed by making the Medic unable to heal people with his secondary weapon while taunting or using the Meet the Medic, Director's Vision, Schadenfreude, or High Five!.
- Changed attributes:
- Added 50% Overheal.
- Über now affects the Medic when there's no heal target.
- Shotguns with pushback (Force-A-Nature) no longer affect players under the effect of Quick-Fix’s Über.
- Fixed Quick-Fix infinite heal exploit.

- Fixed the Medic not gaining the proper speed boost when a Demoman uses the Chargin' Targe or Splendid Screen.
- Updated the
equip_region
for the Quick-Fix.
- Fixed the Medic not being able to deploy a Quick-Fix charge while carrying the flag.
July 2, 2015 Patch #1 (Gun Mettle Update)
- Updated description to better detail the weapon's features.
- Fixed the Scorch Shot knockback from affecting Quick-Fix Über.
December 17, 2015 Patch (Tough Break Update)

- Fixed cases where Quick-Fix ÜberCharged players could still be affected by certain knock-back effects.
- Changed attribute:
- Players can no longer capture objectives while under the effects of Quick-Fix ÜberCharge.
- Fixed the Quick-Fix not healing the Medic after switching away from the Medi Gun and back while the charge is draining.
July 7, 2016 Patch (Meet Your Match Update)
- All Mediguns allow the Medic to match the speed of their heal target
- Previously only available on The Quick-Fix
- A dropped Mediguns's stored ÜberCharge begins to decay over time after coming to rest
- Changed attributes:
- ÜberCharge rate reduced to +15% (from +25%)
Bugs
- Being set on fire will cause the player to lose the team-colored overlay when under the effects of the ÜberCharge.
- Dying during an ÜberCharge may cause the ÜberCharge sound effect to play until the player disconnects, the map changes, or
snd_restart
is entered into the console, much like a previously patched bug with the Kritzkrieg. - Activating the ÜberCharge on a disguised Spy provides them with a healing aura of their team color instead of the disguised team's color.
- A Spy disguised as a Medic with the Quick-Fix equipped will have the regular Medic backpack.
- Despite stating otherwise, the ÜberCharge increases healing by 200% to 300% of normal, rather than raising it 300%.
- After the December 17, 2015 Patch, players under the effects of a Quick-Fix ÜberCharge can no longer block points from being captured by enemies even while standing on the point, nor can they physically block the bomb cart's progress.
Trivia
- The model for the Quick-Fix was previously shown in concept art images for Meet the Medic, photographed in Valve Headquarters.
- The Medic could be seen holding the Quick-Fix before the Über Update was revealed in the final page of Meet the Director.
- The Quick-Fix's ÜberCharge was known as the Megaheal in the beta.
- A "Quick Fix" in medical or industrial-repair terms refers to a hurried or temporary fix of a problem or injury. These remedies may not always work or may prove ineffective to stopping the problem entirely, referencing that the Quick-Fix's ÜberCharge can still result in the death of both the Medic and his patient if enough damage is taken.
- Dove droppings are seen on the main body of the Quick-Fix.
