The Fortified Compound is a primary weapon for the Sniper. It is a black metallic compound bow. When equipped, the Sniper will carry arrows in the rifle holster strapped to his back. The bow itself is identical to the bow Garrett, the main protagonist in Thief, uses.

It functions identically to the Huntsman.

This item was awarded in Genuine quality to players who pre-purchased Thief on Steam before February 25, 2014 in America, or February 28, 2014 in the rest of the World.

Bugs

• The Fortified Compound does not currently have the Huntsman's Skewer taunt assigned to it. This has been confirmed to be fixed in an upcoming patch.

• The name of the item is a play on words. A compound is a group of buildings that is enclosed by a barrier, also a compound is a type of bow commonly used by hunters.
