Delinquents all over the country have been harassing old ladies while you were stuck in your nearby generic desert-industrial environment. You missed out on all the extreme elderly-pestering action! No worries, though! With this handmade bat, you can still vent your frustration elsewhere.
— Fancy Vs. Nasty update description

The Boston Basher is a melee weapon for the Scout. It was originally created in the Fancy vs. Nasty Update and has since been officially added to the game. It appears as a bloodstained wooden club covered with spikes and reinforced with metal rings. Like the Southern Hospitality and the Tribalman's Shiv, the Boston Basher inflicts a five-second Bleed effect on a hit. Missing with it applies the damage and bleed effect to the wielder instead.

Damage

  • Base: 35 (32 to 39 damage)
  • Mini-Crit: 47
  • Critical hit: 105
  • Bleed Damage: 4 damage per tick, 8 damage per second for 5 seconds (40 damage total)
  • Mini-Crit Bleed Damage: 5.40 damage per tick, 10.8 damage per second for 5 seconds (54 damage total)

Damages are approximate and determined by community testing.

Function times

  • Attack Interval: 0.5

All times are in seconds. Times are approximate and determined by community testing.

Notes

  • The self damage effect is not applied if the user hits any solid object (such as a wall, floor, prop, etc.).
  • Hitting a teammate, however, will apply the self damage, making this weapon a risky choice for spychecking.
  • You won't do additional damage to yourself under the effects of a Crit-a-Cola, however.
