I murdered your toys as well.
The Spy

The Diamondback is a promotional primary weapon for the Spy. It is styled after the Diamond Back .357 from Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Similar to the Frontier Justice, the weapon has the ability to store critical hits for later use, but as a result cannot deliver random crits. Also similarly to the Frontier Justice, the stored crits cap out at 35. A potential critical hit is stored for each enemy building that is destroyed while being sapped; the Spy does not have to earn credit for the destruction. As a drawback, the weapon delivers 15% less damage compared to the default Revolver.

It is awarded to players in Genuine quality to those that pre-ordered Deus Ex: Human Revolution before August 26th, 2011.

Update history

August 18, 2011 Patch (Manno-Technology Bundle)

  • The Diamondback was added to the game.

Bugs

  • The Spy does not earn any critical hits for sapped buildings destroyed with Diamondback shots that aren't stored critical hits.
  • Destroying a building with the guaranteed crits from the Diamondback will earn another guaranteed crit; however, the counter will not increment to display this. Firing once will set the counter to the correct value.
  • The Crits counter overlaps with the Cloak meter when using the Minimal HUD advanced option.
  • Like the Ambassador, Enforcer, Big Kill and L'Etranger, the Spy does not actually put any bullets in the barrel while reloading, nor do any bullets eject.
