The Sniper

The Classic is a primary weapon for the Sniper. It is a rifle based on the Sniper Rifle from Team Fortress Classic that is in turn based on the H&K G36, but fitted with a longer barrel and a laser sight.

The Classic allows the player to charge their shot without having to be scoped, but the player will suffer a large loss of movement speed. It deals 10% less damage on bodyshots, and can only headshot once fully charged. Unlike the other sniper rifles, it is charged by holding down the fire key, followed by releasing it to fire the shot. It is also able to get headshots without having to be scoped. Additionally, the player can fire multiple shots without leaving the scope.

Once the fire button has been held down, a shot has to be fired or the Sniper will be stuck with the decreased movement speed. By jumping and releasing the fire button in midair, a static click will sound and the rifle will not lose any ammunition.

Players killed by a charged shot will be gibbed, and will also leave behind a cloud of blood where the player was standing, which quickly fades away.
