Map Overview | |
Nucleus VSH is a community-created Versus Saxton Hale map based on Nucleus. At this point, Gray Mann has seized control of both of his brothers' properties, renamed all facilities present to "Gray Gravel Co.", and let the Nucleus facility fall into disarray, with toxic waste dumped into the abyss below.
Nucleus VSH was contributed to the Steam Workshop.
Locations
- The Device: The swirling, colorful Doomsday Device which dominates the center of the map, and beneath which lies the map's Control Point.
- The Pit: Below the device and the catwalks beneath it is a pit with a narrow platform suspended above it, with the Control Point positioned in the center. The pit is filled with toxic waste, which slowly damages players who stand within it.
- The Perimeter: The series of ledges and catwalks which directly surround the Pit. RED team and Saxton Hale's spawns are directly opposite of each other on either side of the perimeter.
- Roofs: On top of the buildings along the perimeter are roofs which are accessible by various means. These are useful spots as they give great height advantage and a view of the entire area.
- The Bridges: There are four bridges that lead out directly to the central area underneath the device, one on each side in front of each team's spawn, and one on each side leading to the opposing buildings.
- Access Building: The access building is one of the buildings on the perimeter, marked by the letter "A". It is entered from right outside of each spawn by a set of staircases, and in its center are more staircases which lead down to the central bridge. On each side of the main room, there are entrances to balconies which overlook most of the area.
- Flank Building: Directly across from the access building is the flank building, marked by the letter "B". It has one bridge connecting to the central catwalks, and two that connect to the Control Point below.
