The Full Metal Helmet is a community-created cosmetic item for all classes. It is a dark team-colored, slightly worn combat helmet with the wearer's class emblem on the front, loose chin straps, and a band holding an item on the right side. The item in the band changes according to the wearer:
- When worn by the Scout and Soldier the band holds four shotgun shells.
- When worn by the Pyro the band holds a lighter and two matches.
- When worn by the Demoman the band holds a flask.
- When worn by the Heavy and Sniper the band holds four bullets.
- When worn by the Engineer the band holds four large nails.
- When worn by the Medic the band holds two syringes.
- When worn by the Spy the band holds a pack of cigarettes.
The Full Metal Helmet was contributed to the Steam Workshop.
