A Disintegration is a special death effect caused by energy weapons or standing near a spawning Monoculus that completely removes the corpse of an enemy player, There are two types of disintegration being Evaporation where the corpse of a player floats mid-air while being blackened while surrounded by team colored electricity particles and Incineration where the victims corpse turns into ash, The latter has a 25% chance of playing a special death animation where the victim spasms.

Bugs
- If a player is crit boosted (such as a Kritzkrieg Übercharge) and hits a headshot in circumstances that normally don't result in a headshot (such as a Classic shot that isn't fully charged), the kill icon still displays it as a headshot.
Trivia
- There is a 25% chance that a player killed by a headshot will enter a special death animation[1] unique to that class.
- Any sword or axe for the Demoman and Half-Zatoichi for the Soldier also has a 25% chance for players killed to enter the special death animation, since these weapons remove the enemy's head after a successful kill.
