The Maul is a promotional melee weapon for the Pyro. It is a "Red Faction inspired hammer,"^[1] modeled after the sledgehammer from Red Faction: Armageddon.

Statistically, the Maul functions identically to the Homewrecker.

This weapon is awarded with Genuine quality to players who pre-purchase Red Faction: Armageddon.

As with Homefront, Red Faction: Armageddon was not available for pre-order in the United Kingdom, making this item initially unobtainable in that region.
