The Maul is a promotional melee weapon for the Pyro class. It is modeled after the eponymous sledgehammer from Red Faction: Armageddon.
This weapon functions in exactly the same way as the Homewrecker.
The Maul was awarded with Genuine quality to players who pre-purchased Red Faction: Armageddon on Steam before June 6, 2011.[1]

Update history
- The Maul was added to the game.
- Updated the Maul's kill icon; the weapon now faces the victim.
Bugs
- As with the Homewrecker, the Maul's "100% damage vs buildings" attribute is incorrectly displayed, giving the impression the Maul does full damage to buildings instead of double the damage.
Trivia
- As with Homefront and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Red Faction: Armageddon was not available for pre-order in the United Kingdom, making this item unobtainable in Genuine quality in that region.
