Estrategia general del mapa

Este mapa cuenta con calabazas explosivas, calabazas de Halloween y Gárgola de Almas; véase estrategias de la comunidad para mapas de Halloween.

Estrategia general para el Jinete Decapitado sin Montura

  • El Jinete Decapitado sin Montura recorrerá todo el mapa (excepto las bases) y algunas zonas inaccesibles, como tejados, a donde podrán acceder los Scouts, Soldiers y Demomen. Si LA LLEVAS, subirte a una de estas zonas hará que el Jinete deje de perseguirte y vaya a por otro al instante.
  • Cuando LA LLEVAS y no puedes ir a ninguno de esos puntos, deberías buscar a un enemigo que golpear cuerpo a cuerpo para pasarla.
  • Si llevas una Máscara de Saxton Hale o una Cabeza del Jinete Decapitado sin Montura evitarás asustarte con la burla del Jinete.
  • El Jinete tiene la velocidad del Scout, por lo que no es recomendable huir de él si no tienes una clara superioridad, como el escudo del Demoman.
  • Una estrategia para el jugador que LA LLEVA es hacer de cebo para el Jinete, mientras otros le causan todo el daño que puedan.
  • El Jinete puede quedar atascado si su presa se pone en algún punto específico del mapa, siendo un blanco fácil para el resto de jugadores hasta que se consigue desatascar, un buen sitio para hacer esto es el muro tras el cobertizo, junto a la roca del primer punto de control.
  • Otro punto efectivo para hacer esto es justo frente a la base BLU en el edificio con libros; saltando y agachándote para subir a un barril y luego a unas estanterías medianas; el Jinete intentará atacar al jugador y no podrá.
  • Los puntos de control permanecen activos mientras el Jinete está fuera. Es una buena estrategia usar esto para capturar los puntos de control mientras el equipo enemigo está distraído.
    • Si LA LLEVAS y estas junto a un punto de control en disputa, puedes intentar llevar al Jinete a los enemigos que intentan capturar el punto.
    • En RED, al defender el último punto, mejor mantenerse cerca de base y esperar a que alguien de tu equipo LA LLEVE. El Jinete pasará un buen rato persiguiendo al equipo BLU, defendiendo el punto por vosotros.
  • Se puede aprovechar el último punto de control a tu favor. Si el Jinete se acerca mucho puedes saltar y él tendrá que rodear toda la grieta del suelo para alcanzarte.
  • Aunque el Jinete puede perseguirte al que LA LLEVA hasta el tejado de B, no podrá hacerlo a los techos de otros edificios.
  • El Jinete no sabe saltar, pero podrá tirarse de sitios altos para perseguir al que LA LLEVA.

Pictogram plus.png  A Kritzkrieg ÜberCharge will allow a skilled Soldier to make short work of the Horsemann, as a pack of critical rockets and Shotgun shells will take a large chunk of its health away. This can be combined with rocket jumping to stay clear of the Horsemann's melee attack.

Pictogram plus.png  The Direct Hit is probably the Soldier's best primary weapon to use against the Horsemann. The projectiles are fast and do high damage, and the Horsemann is large enough for you not to worry too much about missing it.

Pictogram plus.png  The Shotgun can be effective against the Horsemann as base damage remains the same when attacking him. This will allow you to do more damage from a longer range than normal.

Pictogram plus.png  While the Cow Mangler 5000 might not deal much damage, it is good as an escape weapon due to the extra ammo loaded and infinite ammo carried. You can perform better escapes from the Horsemann, especially with the Gunboats equipped for survivability.

Pictogram info.png The Heavy is one of the best classes to go head-on against the Horsemann. Despite his resistance to Minigun bullets, any Minigun will shred the boss in a matter of seconds at short range, even without crits.

Pictogram minus.png It is risky to use the Quick-Fix or the Kritzkrieg against the Horsemann, as The Horsemann's melee attack takes 80% of the target's base (not current) health except against Übered players and Dead Ringer Spies. However, at a distance, the Kritzkrieg charge is effective at dispatching the Horsemann.
