The Widowmaker is a promotional primary weapon for the Engineer. It is a futuristic, tan Shotgun styled after the Widowmaker TX, a weapon available in Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

This weapon uses the Engineer's metal as its source of ammunition; each shot fired will consume 30 metal, making for a maximum of 3 shots able to be fired without additional metal, with no requirement to reload. Each point of damage done to an enemy player or building with the Widowmaker is returned to the Engineer as metal.

It was awarded in Genuine quality to players who pre-purchased Deus Ex: Human Revolution on Steam before August 26, 2011.

Bugs

• Occasionally the metal gained does not match the damage dealt to a single target.
• The small size of this weapon causes the Engineer's finger to extend slightly beyond the end of the barrel.
• The Engineer's thumb clips above the trigger in both the world view and, on a higher than default setting, the client view.
• The sound effect for pumping a Shotgun plays upon drawing the weapon despite the Engineer not doing so.
