Not so tough now are ya? Are ya?!
The Scout

The Fan O'War is a promotional melee weapon for the Scout. It is a large metal Template:W.

This weapon deals 90% less damage than the default Bat, making it an inefficient means of killing enemies. However, hitting an opponent with the Fan O'War "marks them for death", denoted by a white skull and crossbones icon appearing over the target's head. Upon being marked, the target hears a distinctive sound, and a skull icon appears on their HUD. During this period of 15 seconds, any subsequent hits taken by the target will be mini-crits. Only one player at a time may be marked by this weapon. Upon hitting a new enemy, the status will be transferred from the old target.

Players who pre-purchased Total War: SHOGUN 2 on Steam before March 15, 2011 were awarded with a Genuine quality version of this item.

  • The Marked for Death icon that appears on the HUD is the Heavy's skull shown on the "Anatomy of a Heavy Weapons Guy" poster, and the Rasputin achievement.
