The Sun-on-a-Stick is a promotional melee weapon for the Scout, appearing as an ornate jet-black mace topped with a fiery orb and black spikes.
The Sun-on-a-Stick has 15% less base damage compared to the Bat, but guarantees a Mini-Crit when a Scout bashes a burning enemy with it.
Players can currently receive the item by pre-ordering RIFT on Steam before March 1, 2011. Players that do so will receive a Genuine quality version. Some time following the RIFT pre-order period, the weapon will become available via crafting and weapons received during the pre-order period will be made tradable.

Update history
- Increased the base damage for the Scout's Sun-on-a-Stick, and changed it to always Mini-Crit against burning targets if the attack is not already critical.
- Updated the RIFT pre-order items to be not-tradable until the RIFT pre-order period is over.
Trivia
- According to Trion Worlds' press release for the promotion, the Sun-on-a-Stick was originally intended to use the Boston Basher's stats.[1]
- The item description refers to the line spoken by the character Alejandro Murrieta in the film Template:W.[2]
- Despite Valve claiming that those who pay will not be at an advantage over those who don't (when the store was released), it is required to pay for RIFT to recieve these weapons, therefore those who do pay, are at an advantage with these weapons.
