“ | Who wouldn't want to squeeze off a couple rounds with the murder weapon of choice of a sociopathic cartoon rabbit? Probably quite a lot of people, when you get right down to it. Luckily, those people are all well-adjusted contributors to society with no police records, spotless credit ratings and few unresolvable moral failings. They also probably have no interest in playing TF2, so that means more murder-rabbit gun shooting for the rest of us.

Trivia
- The name "Lugermorph" is a portmanteau of the words "Luger", the name of the Pistol which the Lugermorph's design is based on, and "Lagomorpha", the taxonomic order of which rabbits are a part.
- The weapon's in-game description is a reference to a running Sam & Max joke: where does Max keep his gun? He has no clothes.
- Originally, this gun could only be used by the Scout. In the July 1st, 2010 update, it was made available for use with the Engineer.
- Taunting with the Lugermorph will cause the Engineer to use the regular Pistol taunt, but the extra length on the barrel makes him blow onto the side of the Pistol.
- The kill icon for the Lugermorph was originally the same as the Pistol. This was changed to it's current kill icon in the July 8, 2010 patch.
- The Lugermorph is one of the only three loadout weapons that can not be crafted. The other two are the Big Kill and the Golden Wrench.
- The Lugermorph, along with the Big Kill, were the first weapons that were considered unlocks, that shared the same stats with their classes default weapon.
