- It seems that valve removed the skybox we were using from the game files. I've hacked together a fix that uses the granary skyboxes instead - download this and and put it in tf/custom. Hopefully we can get the map recompiled soon so this will be unnecessary. — Armisael (T · C) 14:19, 7 June 2013 (PDT)

Handle is jiggleboned - not shown in video
- Not sure if worth doing — Wind 14:10, 23 May 2013 (PDT)
- It's just a small part; it's not that noticeable. Plus, it doesn't look horrible (like the unarmed combat). Though this might sound biased since this is my demonstration and I have no proper way of recording jigglebones :> - Uufje 14:21, 23 May 2013 (PDT)
- It's pretty obvious - the handle swings all the way around, it's fairly large, and it's the closest part of the model. Besides, we aren't exactly drowning in work at present. — Armisael (T · C) 14:26, 23 May 2013 (PDT)
- If it's the Bat Outta Hell/Holy Mackerel etc. I can understand because it's the full model that jiggles, but here it's just a (in my opinion small) part of it. - Uufje 14:31, 23 May 2013 (PDT)

Should show if the Medic is ubered or the spy is cloaked, that the weapon still drains.

- Should definitely not play the laughing sound in the loadout screen, unless the loadout screen does that by itself now. But otherwise yes, lack of facial animations in the loadout screen is disturbing — Wind 11:36, 30 June 2013 (PDT)
- Yes, that's what I meant. The taunt plays the laughing sound in the loadout screens automatically. I just wasn't sure if sound is allowed at all in the loadout screens during a weapon demonstration (since this is a taunt, not a weapon). -- ShinyLuma (talk) 15:23, 30 June 2013 (PDT)

Karmacharger 11:57 , 7/1/2013 (PDT)

- Or I would be, if the skybox for both the demonstration map and the tf_target map weren't screwed up, as shown in the screenshot here. I'll keep trying to fix this problem; it doesn't seem like a TF2 file issue since redownloading the map and deleting all the downloaded custom files from other maps did nothing. --Akuago220, The Jungle Expeditioner (talk) 16:57, 2 July 2013 (PDT)

Wrangler
Uses the old map
Should show sentry jumping with bullets than just rockets
Level 3 sentry should be demonstrated like this, kill Pyro with just bullets, kill Soldier with just rockets and kill Medic with both
No end sound
- All small deals. Not sure if bullet jumping is really that practical to be worth demonstrating, and the current demonstration does a good job enough at showing that you can control the guns and the rocket launcher separately — Wind 10:25, 10 July 2013 (PDT)
Archive
It's probably too late now, but wouldn't it have been a good idea to have something like "weapon archive" videos, sort of to show how a weapon looked before it got updated? It can be a nice tid-bit of history.--Uknownada 07:32, 6 May 2013 (PDT)
- Some old weapon demonstrations are archived, but most of the old versions are simply deleted. I'm not sure there would be a way to show all those videos on the wiki anyway, nor if it's worth it. I think the update history section covers that well enough — Wind 20:18, 6 May 2013 (PDT)
- Maybe you won't need to show it on the Wiki, but showing it on another channel as sort of an "extra". The update history section covers it well, but some people might have trouble imagining the Shortstop's quicker reload, or the Tomislav's quick fire thingy. You don't need it on the main channel. Or you could have them unlisted and "click here for previous versions" or something. Just a thought.--Uknownada 15:40, 7 May 2013 (PDT)
HUD vpk fixes

Text
Why is there no text at all in the demonstration videos? Closed captions or something. Sometimes it takes a while for me to realize what you're trying to tell me. For example, in the new Vaccinator demonstration, it took a good 30 seconds for me to realize that you were trying to show at 6:28 that the Übercharge rate stays the same no matter what. A little text that says just that would've been helpful.
Especially when I look at the Buff Banner discussion I'm a little speechless. Why, Wind, just why is it wrong to have text? It doesn't even have to be in the video, it could be a YouTube annotation or something, but not having text at all? - Selbi 03:51, 7 May 2013 (PDT)
- Not everyone who uses the wiki speaks English, and it's a tremendous amount of effort to maintain text in every language supported by the wiki. — Armisael (T · C) 07:50, 7 May 2013 (PDT)
- That is a questionable argument, considering how the videos use both English text and English voice. If you really wanted to have the Wiki as localized as possible, you'd need to shoot every demonstration video multiple times. Thus I don't see the problem of having a few texts. I don't even mean them as demonstration leaders (arrows pointing somewhere and some text saying "look here!"), I mean as simple supporters of the what the respective scene is supposed to show. Completely optional addition. As I've said, this could be something simple as a YouTube annotation. And finally, I'm not saying you need this on every video out there, just those which could be confusing (like I pointed out in my Buff Banner and Vaccinator example). - Selbi 11:33, 7 May 2013 (PDT)
- I've raised this before, look in the archives for something titled “subtitles” or something. Someone (I think it was Wind) said that if we use annotations, it won't be catered for non-english speakers, which is why we try to make it as “text-less” as possible. (weapon description being in english is unavoidable) I then suggested using subtitles that can be displayed in different languages, but he said that's not exactly the use of a subtitle will be. TFHK 20:00, 13 May 2013 (PDT)
- Wiki do want to localize the content and make every kind of people understand. Isn't that the reason why the videos never have the subtitle? Watching the actions can make people easily understand the items even they are not good at English. If we try to set up the English subtitle, then there will be the need of localized subtitles, and I do not think these words can be created by enough people. About the confusing part in video, I believe it has properly showed every attributes of an item. Maybe reading the related Wiki page (and localized content if you need) when watching video could help? With the info in pages, I personally think the need of subtitles is slim.

The videos try to be as language-independent as possible because:
- It makes the videos embeddable on all language pages
- Reshoot demonstrations in every language would be unfeasible, and the amount of duplicated work would also be horrible
- It forces the demonstrations to be done in a clear-just-by-looking-at-it manner, which is a good thing. Sometimes that can't be done, and text is used in those cases
The instructional videos are in english because they really do need to give instructions to the viewer, unlike demonstrations. Thus, instructional videos should not be embedded on other language, pages unless subtitles are available (submissions welcome as .srt subtitle files, although this is not the page to do so) — Wind 14:10, 23 May 2013 (PDT)
