Moving pass the fact someone was tampering with my reservation, I chose to do a beta demonstration of this weapon. I know a few more scenes might be needed so I want to make sure that all bases will be covered in my foreseen redo of this weapon so that even those like Wind and Armisael approve, users like Karma or Mr. Vinderack won't say immediately or long after its approval a single or multiple little suggestions that will cause a revoked approval. --Akuago220, The Jungle Expeditioner 10:24, 4 August 2012 (PDT)

- May want to throw in a clip that shows how long you can stand from 200 ammo to running out of ammo. It would be kind of long but I think it would give a better idea of how much ammo it consumes when deployed. Maybe put that at the end so that it's not too boring. If you do, put clips in order so that the 3 last clips are: spy cloak/disguise detection clip, split-screen ammo consumption comparison with the minigun, and non-split-screen clip showing how long it takes to drai nout all the ammo by just standing. That way, the two last clips are related (ammo consumption) rather than having an unrelated clip in the middle (spy). That's all~ — Wind 17:00, 8 August 2012 (PDT)
- Not a problem. Here's the revised version with that extra clip in it. Since there was apparently nothing else about it that needing fixing, it's safe to say now, download it here if good. --Akuago220, The Jungle Expeditioner 08:02, 9 August 2012 (PDT)

- I think that enemy players can jump over the ring of fire and remain flame-free. It shows that the ring of fire is more like a hedge rather than an impenetrable wall. Should this be demonstrated? 22:11, 10 August 2012 (PDT)
- I don't know; given that the class stays in the air for no less than a second or two, in the end, they'll still get burned. It just seems like a waste of time showing something that, in the long run, is not so significant (or not as significant as the other aspects shown in the demonstration). --Akuago220, The Jungle Expeditioner 12:34, 12 August 2012

- Actually, given that a spy can jump over the ring of fire to get a backstab without ever being lit, that may be worth demonstrating. Just a thought; if not, whatever. — Armisael (T | C) 12:57, 13 August 2012 (PDT)
- I just tried that with the Soldier. After 5 tries, the Soldier still got burned no matter how high he jumped. If he can't bypass the ring of fire, then most classes probably can't either. If that's the case, then the whole "bypassing the ring of fire" scene shouldn't be added if all classes can't do it (before anyone possibly argues with something like a Sapper being class-specific aversion with the Engineer, that's because the sapper is meant to go against one specific class whereas fire affects all classes). --Akuago220, The Jungle Expeditioner 10:49, 14 August 2012 (PDT)
- Spies can jump farther than soldiers because they run faster (and thus cover more horizontal distance in the same vertical distance). I would expect that every class except soldiers and heavies could pull that off. At any rate, I just thought that particular interaction might be worth noting, given the anti-spy nature of the gun. You are, as always, free to ignore me. — Armisael (T | C) 10:55, 14 August 2012 (PDT)

I had a go at trying to make a video for the Huo-Long Heater (I am a new user and did not find out that someone else had reserved it and I am new to all of this) I would just like some feed back on my video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNtGltBTaHs. - This demo was reserved by Akuago220. And your video has many mistake.
- Have 2 black bars on the side of the video.
- No background music.
- Custom crosschair.
- Didn't show afterburn kill, ring of fire effect's area, spy check (disguise and cloak), consume ammo rate, etc.
- Hinaomi (talk) - (contributions) 22:24, 12 August 2012 (PDT)
- It's also not using good enough graphics settings (the lighting in the map looks very dark). The pause menu is also visible at the beginning. Still, the main clip of the demonstration follows the pattern correctly — Wind 05:14, 13 August 2012 (PDT)
Thanks for the feedback. That was my first try at a video. :)

- Here goes~
- Maybe the water-duration-demonstration-clip should be a split-screen with the two snipers leaving the water at the same time, but hit at a different time. Or perhaps they would leave the water at different times and hit at the same time, kind of like the 3 heavies in the medigun demo that showd the different heal rates
- Add a little more waiting time at the beginning of the last clip
- Try not to get a voice line like "ah, piss" since it's not piss (I hope). Or you may want to use something else than a sniper for a change (up to you)

Crusader's Crossbow
The current Crusader's Crossbow video doesn't properly demonstrate how a larger distance affects damage when the Pyro airblasts it. The third airblast had the medic at ~30 health, so I think it would be best if the player were at full health whenever the Pyro airblasts the arrow back at the medic. I don't know if this is enough to warrant a re-do, but it's still something to consider. CHINESE TIGER 09:40, 10 August 2012 (PDT)

I don't know if these are valid reason but in the video, it shows that the sticky launcher is primary and on top and the grenade launcher is in the middle. - Build the teleports on terrain where the little metal things on the floor don't clip with the teleport blueprint
- Spawn the RED sniper bot not on the teleporter (same position as the BLU one before) and hame him walk and wait instead of just being there randomly
- May as well use another class than a Sniper, for the only purpose of looking different than the BLU Sniper just before (that way it doesn't look liek the Sniper changed teams or something)
- Wait-and-stare a little before picking things up (2:25)
- Not put the Soldier there (it looks as if the medic is healing the heavy, and SUDDENLY: Soldier); put it next to the heavy or something (but not on the opposite side of the view, so that the heal beam doesn't go behind the heavy), making sure that both the soldier and the medic and the heavy are all visible at the same time (not easy but try it)

- Really? I used all of those... Odd, but I guess I'll redo it. It's strange, because I used setpos/setang for myself. I guess the engineer didn't teleport to the exact same place. Mr. Vinderack, not as sober as you...thin..yah... 14:52, 26 July 2012 (PDT)

- It's fine, I was doing fine on it and then suddenly schedule hell arose. I haven't even really had time to use the computer lately. Hopefully, sometime in the near future my schedule will allow an opening to continue weapon demonstrations, but for now consider me on hiatus. Sharpened Volcano Fragment

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWrCYvtuffk I already got it Ben10508 20:44, 11 July 2012 (PDT)
- ...This is awkward. I mean no offense by this, but you're kind of...supposed to respect reservations. If you wanted the weapon that badly, you should have asked Mellotaku first. As for the video, it's a good layout and demonstration, but the quality is really choppy. Like I said, Source Recorder and SrcDemo2 are a must for these weapon demonstrations. Fraps just doesn't cut it most of the time. That is all. Mr. Vinderack, not as sober as you...thin..yah... 20:58, 11 July 2012 (PDT)
- No, they are certainly preferred (because they tend to produce better results) but they are not requirements for any demonstration (except the Saxxy demonstration) and are sometimes necessary. I'm sure that's what you meant to say, but you said it in a way that made it look absolute, and that there was no question about it. — Wind 22:24, 13 July 2012 (PDT)
Ahh, sorry. I already had it done, why not, know know? *chuckles faintly* I sent Mellotaku an apology message on his talk page. Also, I don't really see what's wrong with the quality, I think it's fine Ben10508 21:15, 11 July 2012 (PDT)
- Firstly and most importantly, thank you for understanding the reservation system. I am glad to not have to start an argument. As for the quality, watch a recent weapon demonstration (Scout and Soldier melee makeovers) to see what I mean. Your quality is definitely not bad, but I don't think it's 30 or more frames per second. I should probably also make it clear that by quality I mainly meant framerate. xD. Anyway, trust me, you will not regret using Source Recorder and SrcDemo2. I will definitely help as much as it takes, because those tools produce magical results (and by the way, Wind was the one who made SrcDemo2 :P). If you have any more questions, don't be afraid to ask. I'm friendly, and so is everyone else (hopefully). Mr. Vinderack, not as sober as you...thin..yah... 21:50, 11 July 2012 (PDT)
Thanks for your understanding. I'll take your word for using the other recording softwares. Didn't know Wind made SrcDemo2 :0. For now can we use this video? For my later one's, I'll use Source Recorder next time. Ben10508 21:58, 11 July 2012 (PDT)
- You'll have to ask Wind. I try to help around a lot, but I'm not actually in charge of the project (I'm flattered you thought I was, though. Thanks! :) ). Also, I bet he's fine with it, but you might want to get Mellotaku's approval too, just in case. Mr. Vinderack, not as sober as you...thin..yah... 22:15, 11 July 2012 (PDT)
Ha, I already knew that Wind was like, God here xD. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ben10508 (talk) • (contribs)
- So you know Ben, the reservation system exists to help minor contributors like you. If no one respected reservations and multiple people submitted videos for the same weapon, the experienced, major contributors would make higher quality demos much faster than the new contributors, and the new people would never get a video in. Ignoring other peoples' reservations is a good way to get other people to ignore yours. — Armisael (T | C) 07:47, 12 July 2012 (PDT)
- Indeed. Just so we're on the same page, don't take any of this harshly. Just think of it as a first-time experience, and keep it in mind if the situation ever comes up again. Mr. Vinderack, not as sober as you...thin..yah... 07:49, 12 July 2012 (PDT)
Well yeah this is my first time making this mistake. I'll try not to the this again. I'm still waiting for Mellotaku to reply to my apology. Thanks Ben10508 08:03, 12 July 2012 (PDT)
- Framerate is indeed a little choppy but acceptable, but there's also:
- First clip ends too soon (it's supposed to end after the camera finished zooming in)
- At 0:48, you're a bit far from the heavy, to the extent that if the viewer has sound off he would think you just missed the Heavy. Also, for such clips, it is usually best to show the Spy disguising during the clip, not starting the clip while the Spy is already disguised, much like you did for the spy cloaking in the next clip (starting with the cloak already on would be awkward). Additionally, you started in a position where the weapon viewmodel completely covered up the Heavy on the left. This is bad because the first few seconds o pause at the beginning of a clip are there to help the viewer see where he is and what's where and what is happening, so having only half of the elements of the scene visible hinders this.
- Since the Medic dies in one hit (how unfortunate) with crits, I guess you need another enemy with higher HP to show the afterburn on crit. Although I guess the fire on Medic's corpse partially demonstrates that... — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wind (talk) • (contribs)

- Does that ring any bells? Ben10508 18:46, 18 July 2012 (PDT)
- There's a difference between submitting a video to a weapon that someone else reserved 24 hours prior and one that the previous person has not posted to in a week, especially when the previous person has been active elsewhere on the page. A reservation isn't a license to sit on a weapon and do nothing for extended periods of time. — Armisael (T | C) 19:02, 18 July 2012 (PDT)

- Armisael's video is good, but will wait a few days for Ben10508 — Wind 12:12, 19 July 2012 (PDT)
Quick question, I know how to get a Spy to disguise as someone, but I have to be a Spy to do it, as said on the project page. How do you make the Spy disguise like in Armisael's video? Ben10508 17:06, 20 July 2012 (PDT)
- You'll probably need another person to come and help you out. If you need it, I'll help. Mr. Vinderack, not as sober as you...thin..yah... 17:52, 20 July 2012 (PDT)
- Nope, you just need to force bot to change to the disguise kit and make that bot disguise to someone. Hinaomi (talk) - (contributions) 18:00, 20 July 2012 (PDT)
- You could, but for the sake of easiness, I'll just help him out. Mr. Vinderack, not as sober as you...thin..yah... 18:30, 20 July 2012 (PDT)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNyle4coG-U I added a Sniper to kinda replace the Medic. BTW, thanks Mr. Vinderack for helping me out Ben10508 15:42, 21 July 2012 (PDT)
- You mean a heavy. Can you approach that heavy in such a way that the axe viewmodel is not in the middle of the minigun model when you stand close? Attack from slightly-sideways to avoid this. Thanks~ — Wind 23:07, 21 July 2012 (PDT)
Alright, but should I keep the Sniper? Ben10508 05:53, 22 July 2012 (PDT)

Wind already said it is good :3 Ben10508 18:35, 1 August 2012 (PDT)

- It does indeed have the borders, but they're not really so critically bad that the video should be rejected for it. Still, you should really look into why they are there and try to fix it for future demos — Wind 16:20, 8 August 2012 (PDT)
So, are you still gonna upload? Ben10508 21:48, 8 August 2012 (PDT)

- Man that must have been fun to record :3 But... It's not really worth showing every single thing for every single weapon slot. While it's consistent with the way other all-class demos have been done so far and I appreciate the effort to keep that up, onthis it feels more like padding; it doesn't really add any new facts for the viewer. The same could be argued for other all-class demos, but the time taken in those videos was not really that long so it didn't really matter. Here it does matter, so I think you can trim it.
- tl;dr: Keep all the Scout clips as they are, but remove the secondary slot and melee slot clips of all other classes. Do keep the Sentry and sapper clips, these are important. Thanks~ That's a ton of work and must have taken a ton of time to render — Wind 17:10, 1 August 2012 (PDT)
