Tux
Pyroland assists
- i'll use the same way to finish it , i can use the Robro 3000's .dem and replace the tux model to it. that would be fine? Karmacharger 9:35 , 4/19/2013 (PDT)
- As long as it looks exactly identical to the way it would if you had the real item, yes. Don't upload those .dem's again as "tux" though — Wind 16:00, 25 April 2013 (PDT)
- Video is done But i need to get rid of another rendering error , here is it "An error occurred while create the media file Tux_Demo.wmv , The system is low on memory. You may be able to reduce memory usage by closing other applications." i have 4GB Ram + 154 GB free left on my disk. i'm pretty sure this error has nothing to do with my pc , it just a bug or something. So guys any suggestion? Karmacharger 7:37 , 7/11/2013 (PDT)
- The problem is that the consumer versions of vegas are 32-bit applications, which means that they can only access 2GB of memory. If you have movie studio 11, there's an update you can get to fix this. If you're running an older version, you'll need to use CFF Explorer as described in this thread to mark it as capable of handling larger memory pools. — Armisael (T · C) 05:30, 11 July 2013 (PDT)
- Thanks for respond , actually i am using vegas pro 9 but can i ask what's the different between Vegas Pro and Movie Studio? i tried the CFF Explorer and follow'd all the setups unfortunately it doesn't help , i'll try using Vegas Movie Studio HD 11.0 see if that makes any different Karmacharger 9:00 , 7/11/2013 (PDT)

- Apologies - I must've missed this one. The bottom border in the pyrovision view for the scout clips seems to be acting up. Other than that, it looks fine. — Armisael (T · C) 20:31, 30 July 2013 (PDT)

- I still see the effect. Look at the top border of those clips (or the borders for any other class) - it's very smooth and steady, whereas the bottom one flickers noticeably. — Armisael (T · C) 13:38, 5 August 2013 (PDT)
- The effect is always there , look for yourself. Equip the goggle in ctf_2fort and look at the border , i can't do anything about that. also what does the flickers do with my video?..... Karmacharger 9:41 PM 8/6/2013 (PDT)
- Alright, I finally figured out what I was seeing. In the scout clip, the bottom of the spawning pen is visible, the pyrovision effects make it look like the border, the the ripple (which you were right about) makes it look like the border is waving all over. The reason it doesn't appear in the other class clips is that molding isn't visible.
- I want you to rerecord the scout splitscreen clips with the scout placed a little farther forward, so the light colored beam at the bottom of the pen isn't visible. Easy. — Armisael (T · C) 08:02, 6 August 2013 (PDT)

- I think this should probably show that the cm5k can't be critboosted - something with a kritz medic, maybe. (If this was discussed and turned down when wind was around, feel free to point me at it.) — Armisael (T · C) 21:27, 12 July 2013 (PDT)
- No, I don't think it was heavily discussed, so this should hopefully demonstrate it well. Download it here. --Akuago220, The Jungle Expeditioner (talk) 20:03, 14 July 2013 (PDT)
- Why do you keep moving and jumping around after you've demonstrated the speed decrease once? Also, the clip with the sentry disable feels odd, it's hard to see the sentry before it's disabled. Darkid (|) 21:24, 14 July 2013 (PDT)
- 1) A thorough reminder, one that has been passable the numerous times I redid this demonstration. It's not like it hurts the video. It didn't back then, so why now? 2)The first person who tried to make the CM 5000 demonstration had the layout set so that the sentry was constantly firing, so I came up with a less bombastic way. As you can see here, Wind supported my version and was accepting of it for the 6+ times I had to redo the demonstration. Plus, given all the wrench demonstrations, I'm sure we're all aware how a Level 3 Sentry works before it's disabled, and you get to see how it looks when it's re-enabled, anyway. --Akuago220, The Jungle Expeditioner (talk) 06:54, 15 July 2013 (PDT)

I apologize for doing this, but in rewatching this video (for evidence reasons), I realized that the critboosted clips really should show the medic in the shot, not just the 'healed by' box. Hopefully this won't be too much trouble to redo. — Armisael (T · C) 11:48, 24 July 2013 (PDT)
- I also don't want to be a pain (you have put a lot of work and effort into this) but I think you should show mini-crits with the cow mangular, like buff banner buff, fan-o-war (marked for death) and jarate. Mini-crits are important right? UltimentM (talk) 18:01, 26 July 2013 (PDT)
- Yeah, sure. Throw in a clip with the buff banner as well. It should only be one additional shot to render. — Armisael (T · C) 20:36, 26 July 2013 (PDT)
- Given the massive number of times I had to redo this weapon demonstration for such tiny changes......sure, I'll have another swing at it (excuse the late reply; had a project to take care of before tackling these demonstrations once more). --Akuago220, The Jungle Expeditioner (talk) 21:22, 7 August 2013 (PDT)

While we're on the topic of demonstration, how about we demonstrate the overload jump for this gun as well. Dinner101 (talk) 16:24, 13 July 2013 (PDT)
- I discussed that with Wind and Hermit527, but I'll reiterate it here. I already tried it when it first came out; there was barely any jumping force worth demonstrating. You only get shot a few inches, nothing substantial. --Akuago220, The Jungle Expeditioner (talk) 13:07, 14 July 2013 (PDT)
I'm hoping this will suffice for the Loose Cannon. Download it here. --Akuago220, The Jungle Expeditioner (talk) 17:43, 23 July 2013 (PDT)
- What's the point of the clip at 1:11?
- The GL/LC splitscreens seem unnecessary to me (except the last one) since the LC no longer is range dependent for damage. The comparison of time until explosion is useful, but that particular one makes it appear as if the LC is exploding against the rafters. A different shot for that would be appropriate, I think.
- You should also have the pyro kill you in the reflect clip at the end. — Armisael (T · C) 11:26, 24 July 2013 (PDT)
- The 1:11 clip is to show the detonation time's consistency regardless of when the projectile is fired, so that the audience knows that once fired, it stays on its fixed countdown instead of restarting after launch. I could cut out the first 2 bits if that is the case, but in regards to the third clip, that was the only distant position I could have if I wanted to cause the direct target hit like in that original demonstration, but if you find that a direct hit of the target is unnecessary, then I will redo that section with a different firing position. --Akuago220, The Jungle Expeditioner (talk) 15:54, 24 July 2013 (PDT)
- The detonation time is a good thing to show - it's a shame that that clip is abstruse, but I can't think of any better way to show it. Drop the first two distance clips, and redo the third one without a direct hit. — Armisael (T · C) 21:15, 25 July 2013 (PDT)
- Sorry for he late revision; had to my finish my own video first. In any case, this should suffice. Download it here. --Akuago220, The Jungle Expeditioner (talk) 21:18, 3 August 2013 (PDT)
- I'm seeing graphical glitches on the fade transitions. Also, I had an idea for the detonation time clip: shoot the grenade into a nearby corner, and don't bother with the enemy soldier (who's really just a distraction from the real point). — Armisael (T · C) 13:38, 5 August 2013 (PDT)
- That glitch has been plaguing Youtube users whose recent vids have fade ins like this video right here. Mine doesn't have that in the original file. Hopefully this one doesn't suffer the glitch... Download it here (it does not have the glitch in it last time I watched it). --Akuago220, The Jungle Expeditioner (talk) 21:19, 7 August 2013 (PDT)

Also, while you're at it, redo the right corner comparison in this one so it doesn't have the distracting pillar on the left side of the screen. Thanks. — Armisael (T · C) 21:27, 12 July 2013 (PDT)

- On rewatching this, I have two requests. First, drop the full healthkit comparison - it doesn't show anything meaningful. Second, add a knockback comparison with a bullet weapon. Apologies. — Armisael (T · C) 23:29, 15 August 2013 (PDT)
- The Back Scratcher demonstration has a comparison with the full healthpack as well, I guess it's to show that despite the bonus, it doesn't overheal. If I shouldn't include it in this demonstration, then I think the Back Scratcher one should be redone as well for consistency. In the meanwhile, I'll work on the other two requests. - Uufje 02:25, 16 August 2013 (PDT)

- Fun fact: the Shortstop doesn't give you extra healing from Medics and Dispensers. With that in mind I decided not to include those clips, I hope that's okay. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wegeNoovA5Y - Uufje 03:38, 11 August 2013 (PDT)
- That is an excellent point. — Armisael (T · C) 14:29, 23 July 2013 (PDT)
- I think it would also be good to show the increased healing you get from Dispensers and Medics. - Uufje 10:45, 23 July 2013 (PDT)

Vaccinator
This demonstration has been reserved: - Uufje 02:53, 12 July 2013 (PDT)
Sorry for the delay, I ran into this again. It's fixed now, though. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HgCM5IPjL0 - Uufje 10:45, 23 July 2013 (PDT)
- You seem to be using a custom font. It's fine other than that. — Armisael (T · C) 14:29, 23 July 2013 (PDT)
- Are you sure that's a custom font? A while ago it suddenly changed to that font, I assumed it was because of an update. I just reinstalled TF2 and it kept that same font. - Uufje 10:23, 24 July 2013 (PDT)
- Yeah. Take a look at the Cow Mangler demo Akuago submitted around 2:30 - it has the distinctively stylized TF2 font. — Armisael (T · C) 11:48, 24 July 2013 (PDT)
- Fair enough, though I have no idea how to fix this :< - Uufje 01:29, 26 July 2013 (PDT)
- Assuming your tf/custom is clear of everything other than the demonstration files, I'd try renaming/deleting your tf/resources folder and then verifying cache integrity. That's where the font files are stored, so that should fix it. — Armisael (T · C) 20:36, 26 July 2013 (PDT)
- Tried that, still didn't fix it. - Uufje 13:58, 27 July 2013 (PDT)
- You need the file from the splitscreen folder. UltimentM (talk) 01:58, 28 July 2013 (PDT)
- I fixed it, woo! Apparently I had to install the fonts into Windows. I'll get to rerendering all the clips, which shouldn't take too long. - Uufje 05:10, 28 July 2013 (PDT)

Question about the Sniper Rifles
Since the massive July 10th update, headshots with all sniper rifles (except Sydney Sleeper since it cannot headshot) now display "CRITICAL HIT" over the head of the sniped player from the first person view. I was wondering if this would require redos of all sniper rifles or if it's too minor a reason to. - ShinyLuma (talk) 19:56, 19 July 2013 (PDT)
- It's one of the advanced options, I think that option we turn it "off" in demonstration. Rikka Takanashi (talk) • (contributions) 20:03, 19 July 2013 (PDT)
- Ah ok, got it. ShinyLuma (talk) 20:08, 19 July 2013 (PDT)
- That option is entirely new (so we had no policy for it), and I rule that we should make sure that it's turned on in all new demonstrations. — Armisael (T · C) 06:57, 21 July 2013 (PDT)
- Ah ok, got it. ShinyLuma (talk) 20:08, 19 July 2013 (PDT)
- I'm curious about something about all rifles. If you no scope shot an enemy and there's an ally in front of the enemy, the shot will hit the enemy. If you are scoped though in the same situation, the fired shot will not hit the enemy. I'm not sure if that's worth redoing a lot of the rifle demos. P.S.: I'm new here so sorry if I did anything wrong -SwordM13X24
