KarmaCharger (used) to have a demonstration on his channel for Isolationist Pack and Isolatec Merc, I think he has done just like official demonstrations would. But it seems the video no longer exists. I heard that his channel was hacked, idk if that was the reason. He may still have the video on his PC, I guess it wouldn't hurt asking him. Hi, just made a vid demonstration about Chemistry kit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2uEkaw6Jbs&feature=youtu.be What should i do next? ~ Fokus 03.06.2020 16:50 GMT+2

Hi there,
You now have to wait for WindPower to respond. He usually does this every week on Sundays, though he's very busy nowadays.
My advice on your video is: Don't start in the Main Menu, start in the backpack (first page) instead. Make sure your backpack's page is also clear of other stuff, so when you finished using the chemistry set it doesnt go to the third page and you'll have to drag it from there. Show yourself using the Chemistry Set, too, it's part of its functionality. Your video also seems to have a delay between sound and the video.
It also lacks editing.

> he's very busy nowadays
You give me too much credit. — Wind 05:44, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for tips. I fixed the video, now it should be much better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fgON6QQ6Mk&feature=youtu.be
Fokuskii (talk) 23:53, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
The same problem applies with the backpack. It should start on the first page (that's empty except for the required items). The section where you hover over the chemistry set is too long, perhaps make it 1 or 2 seconds. The same thing applies to the end, show the strangifier being applied. It also lacks fading (A lot of these things can be fixed with simple editing, but I think the pages thing will have to be done with a new one :\)
GrampaSwood (talk) 13:10, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
The video should also be 1080p (your first version was 1080p but the second version is 720p). Agreed with all other comments — Wind 05:44, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

You've got black bars all around your video :( If you've still got the raw footage you might be able to edit it to get rid of those bars without losing too much quality.
Also, ideally it'd be nice to show the taunt in-game as well. — Wind 20:13, 5 December 2017 (PST)

I had one lying around and since it hasnt been done yet here it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45FF8JP5ZCA&feature=youtu.be quality will be better no worries but this is the rough thing Wynran (talk) 19:40, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

Is good content-wise, but needs background music. — Wind 02:16, 25 March 2019 (UTC)

Decided to remake this because I saw a few issues with the previous one (Namely texture quality and low model quality indicated by no facial flexes, also custom cursor throws consistency off a bit). Vid here, source in the description. I have made 2 mistakes that I can see: 1. I clicked on the unusualifier too fast. 2. I got a big lag spike during the 2nd showing of the taunt. I can't solve 1. I can redo the 2nd one if the spike is too big.
GrampaSwood (talk) 18:24, 25 February 2020 (UTC)

Actually you can fix #1, just make the video freeze frame before you click on it. And yes, noticeable spike at 0:59 :( — Wind 04:11, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

Something Special for Someone Special Something Special for Someone Special (Tool)

Hi. I know this item is quite expensive for someone to make a demonstration, but I was thinking, a video showcasing how the item works (which the purchaser's choose they person), and then, on the same video, showing the chosen player's screen perspective, showing the option to accept the proposal, and after that, showing the notification on the Main Menu for the accepted proposal.
Considering the high cost that would be making this demonstration, I wonder if Valve could gives us a hand and supply one for our demonstrations purposes, as long we delete both rings after doing the full video.
It seems that the process is mostly the same as the Gift Wrap, but I have no idea how are the things when someone receives that Gift. We also lack a proper Gift Wrap video, apparently. User Gabrielwoj Signature Icon.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 1.pngUser Gabrielwoj Signature 2.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 3.png 19:26, 16 July 2019 (UTC)

Keep dreaming, valve won't even fix server issues much less give us free items. If you are planning to make a demonstration though, better ask windpower for some super detailed instructions to make sure it's right the first time. Naleksuh (talk) 21:37, 18 July 2019 (UTC)
Well, they have the ability to both give and delete items, it could work? Yes. Will it happen? We don't know. If there's anything we can do, is ask for someone who plans on buying one legitimately and asking them for help. Last time that the item got in 50% off, a lot of people bought one, so. User Gabrielwoj Signature Icon.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 1.pngUser Gabrielwoj Signature 2.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 3.png 20:01, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
If you give it some time, I could save up to get it and try to make it.
GrampaSwood (talk) 20:16, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
I offer to give a 50 USD Steam gift card to anyone who has already gotten an item demonstration video approved and uploaded in order to make this demonstration, and then another 50 USD Steam gift card upon video approval. I'm not sure what the price of the item is in other currencies but I'll also match that if possible as long as it's not too much more expensive. Please make sure to record both sides (sender account and receiver account). — Wind 23:00, 21 July 2019 (UTC)
Well, I guess we should start discussing how should it be done. Firstly, I think the Gifter should be named "Scout" and the Recipient be "Miss Pauling". Scout has the Scout avatar (184x184 version from Steam), while Miss Pauling can use this. I think the name could be something along what Scout would say, my suggestion, name it as "You are really frickin' sweet". That'd go nice, eh?
Secondly, I don't know who's going to be the Recipient. Should we create a Steam account just for that, or should we rely with another Video Demonstration Creator to do a collab? User Gabrielwoj Signature Icon.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 1.pngUser Gabrielwoj Signature 2.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 3.png 23:55, 21 July 2019 (UTC)

well how about we can hit two birds with one store and do the ring and the Upgrade to Premium Gift from the same two account?, First the two account would demostrate the Upgrade to Premium Gift which the sender should buy it from the store and send to the receiver who don't have premium. them Recycle the same account to do the ring. We could make a story out of it as well from friendship when a user gifted the premium to the other use then after few days they both got engaged via the sender would give the ring. It won't end up a awkward situation. but for this situation we need 4 people to do the ring tho 2 sender reciever, 2 regular tf2 player to recieved the message one in the tf2 main menu and the other while in-gameJomarcenter (talk) 14:27, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
That's a cute story, but let's keep the demonstration to just one item (the ring), not the Upgrade to Premium Gift on top of it. — Wind 22:17, 1 September 2019 (UTC)
I don't know what you're talking about, wind. Story time is clearly more important than the actual video. (but in all seriousness the two accounts would be okay to reuse right?) Naleksuh (talk) 04:52, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
Yeah, sure, it would just be two separate videos — Wind 23:39, 8 September 2019 (UTC)

I kind of thought the role playing names were unnnecessary to begin with, and could also cause confusion as to whether or not those texts always appear in game. But if WP or thed feels that's the best way to do it without commercializing it then oh well for me.
The two steam accounts would be kinda hard to sync up (and would also be a waste of $100), i'm willing to be proposed to if no one else will :) Naleksuh (talk) 01:06, 25 July 2019 (UTC)
No need for roleplaying. It's cool if you want to do it but totally optional. — Wind 06:26, 29 July 2019 (UTC)

Pictogram wait.png This demonstration has been reserved: FanCyy (talk) 20:15, 3 June 2020 (UTC) ?

I don't understand very well how this works. To quote the page "Once a Strange Filter is applied, the stats that the filter is applied to resets to 0.", what are those stats, are these the standard "Kill" (as well Uber) stats? Can you choose other stats, like stats from Strange Parts? And... "The extra prefix is only awarded if the Strange Filter is applied to the weapon's primary statistic.", more or less the same question as before, this phrase implies that you can attach these Filters on Strange Parts, is that so? User Gabrielwoj Signature Icon.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 1.pngUser Gabrielwoj Signature 2.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 3.png 00:49, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

Oh, and yeah, I think we should make a video demonstrating Strange Filters. I don't know if the article will be updated to clarify my questions, but if not, the video would be a great tool to know how the tool works. Demonstration video Danimations (talk) 3:08, 20 December 2020 (CST)

There a few things wrong with the demonstration:
1. The demonstration does not show all class animations.
2. Overall it seems like the demonstration was very unorganised, it looks like you're running all over the place instead of having a plan of what you're doing.
3. It appears your quality settings are too low, as (even at 1080p) it looks quite low quality compared to other demonstrations (Specifically it looks a lot like AA is very low).
4. The HUD should not have "contracts available/inactive", and it should not have the top HUD element either.
5. The bot's name should use the consistent "Friendly [classname]" pattern (Unless it's an enemy).
6. It looks like there is blood on a box on the left, this is not there by default and should be removed using r_cleardecals.
7. It appears you're missing a texture/several textures, the windows are tinted purple (Which does not happen normally), the settings room at the top at ~0:39 shows this very clearly.
8. You're using minimised viewmodels, which is never used in demonstrations (Which is a consistency thing).
I've ordered these from most important to least important.
GrampaSwood (talk) 10:15, 20 December 2020 (UTC)

Is this good? (I'm getting to other classes but I just wanna make sure I dont mess up.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyQb_JRGogQ Danimations (talk) 21:51, 20 December 2020 (CST)

1. It's still with a low AA
2. You should focus also the teammate and the enemy when taunting, only from the right
3. You must wait a few seconds before start to moving
4. The backpack scene is a bit long
5. Between scenes, you need to wait a bit.
6. As Grampaswood said, you need to organize what will you do. The "cannot taunt in these situations" scene is unorganized.

GrampaSwood (talk) 10:15, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
Hi there and thanks for the demonstration video. All of the above is good feedback. I'd add that the audio was a bit crackling in the first version (some voice lines seem to have a gap in their playback), seems fixed in the second version though. Not sure if you've changed anything, but if not, then it's probably a random occurence to watch out for in future versions. I agree with the approach of iterating with just one class until that version is perfect, then moving on to adding the other classes. Good luck :) — Wind 05:33, 5 January 2021 (UTC)

Pardon me if I'm putting in the wrong place, but I noticed that Infernal Orchestrina includes the demonstration. I know that was for a pyroland item, but what if the Boston Boom-Bringer had a demonstration video where it shows the sound effect that is played when taunting? Just like the Orchestrina had (albeit the Pyroland thing). There is several sound effects, though, so all of them has to be played. User Gabrielwoj Signature 1.pngUser Gabrielwoj Signature 2.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 3.png 21:32, 26 March 2015 (PDT)

Infernal Orchestrina was demonstrated because it turns pyroland vision on by itself, not because of the sound effect it adds. This item has no such dramatic change, so no need to demonstrate — Wind 15:08, 29 March 2015 (PDT)

Yes. Also, please upload the video to YouTube in full quality. If you're concerned about it taking forever to upload or using too much upload bandwidth, you can upload both a low-quality full version of the video (as before) but also upload a short high-quality sample of the video (e.g. just the clips for one class) for quality check. Or if it's the same as your other videos like the Sole Mate, then ignore this, as I think it's safe to assume it's mighty fine quality. — Wind 05:33, 5 January 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for the demonstration! The contents of the video are perfect, but the video and audio quality aren't up to the standard unfortunately...
You can for example consider the video encoding artifacts of what should be a brown background on the loadout screen here (this is in 720p), or the low-resolution turret blueprint model, and compare those to other published videos in their highest quality on YouTube. The sound quality of the music is OK, but the in-game sound feels muffled and a bit radio-y, probably from low bitrate as well. I suggest increasing all that you can increase about video recording encoding quality, audio recording encoding quality, video export encoding quality, audio export encoding quality, and in-game graphics settings as much as possible (without framerate drops) and see how much this can be improved. — Wind 00:18, 25 August 2019 (UTC)

Well, maybe it's just me. - Thedop 08:40, 23 April 2019 (UTC+1)
I agree with Thedop. The demonstration itself is very good, but the framerate is low which makes it look very choppy. That's my two cents at least Zeklyn (talk) 06:59, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
i dont know if i have the raw video files anymore but i might try exporting in a higher fps Naleksuh (talk) 15:49, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
A video might be 30 frames per second, but what matters is the number of *distinct* frames per second. If a video has 30 frames per second and every set of 3 frames is identical, then it may be technically 30 frames per second, but to the eye it's actually just 10 frames per second.
This video is definitely in the "too low framerate" category; if you're not convinced of that, compare the Axtinguisher swing animation in 0.25x speed on your video vs the current video and count the number of unique frames of the swing animation that you can see. You can actually count them in your video, which means it's too low framerate.
Also, the fade in/out of the 3-way split-screen has overlapping clips, i.e. each clip is transparently bleeding into each other. One easy way to solve this is to render a separate video with the 3-way split-screen rendered with no fades at high quality, then import that video as a single clip into the main video, and add the fades there.
Lastly, please add a second or so after the 3-way split-screen clip, as it currently ends before the last damage number finishes scrolling off. — Wind 00:37, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

I have a question before doing this one: Should I show off that even players immune to afterburn (Pyros/Danger Shield Sniper)? Like on a Pyro being actively burned can still get hit with the Mini-Crit (Its damage is based off of afterburn, if Pyros are immune to afterburn some people may think it means there is no damage bonus). If yes, can I do it with the Degreaser for faster switch speed or have a secondary Pyro ready?
GrampaSwood (talk) 18:00, 28 February 2020 (UTC)

Not sure what the clip with the fall damage jump is for; is this to demonstrate that you can't redeploy it? Or perhaps that you can still take fall damage after having deployed it but falling from a tall enough height? I guess the clip is good regardless of which of these two reasons it is, and I can't really think of a better way to demonstrate either of these, so ship it~ — Wind 05:33, 5 January 2021 (UTC)

Pictogram comment.png Does not demonstrate reduced movement speed while charging up the rifle.

Pictogram comment.png Does not demonstrate that jumping cancels the charged shot.

Pictogram comment.png Does not demonstrate the shooting while in mid-air cancels the charged shot, while falling down and holding shot does not cancel the charged shot.

Pictogram comment.png Does not correctly demonstrate an unscoped bodyshot; the video so far is entirely of just headshots.

I had made some observations a few days ago, and I have noticed a lot of missing elements for the Classic video. Particularly so is how the current video doesn't correctly show the no-charge bodyshot damage (46 instead of 50). Qwertyxp2000 (talk) 08:11, 17 March 2020 (UTC)

Yep, all good things to re-do the video for. — Wind 04:11, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
I have a plan on how the new video should be run, and I will show how the video would be run, and I will explain it on a new line, to make it easier for me to format the video plan:
Part 1 – The Main Gang (Pyro, Soldier, Medic)

The standard kills for Pyro, Soldier, and Medic, as usual for any damaging weapon.

  1. Shoot the Pyro with a quickshot bodyshot at the middle of his body, where there is little chance of accidentally hitting the headshot hitbox. Specifically, aim at his middle flame grenade.
  2. Move the crosshair to Pyro's head.
  3. Shoot the Pyro's head with a quickshot "headshot".
  4. Shoot the Pyro's head again, but with a partially charged "headshot".
  5. Aim at Soldier's head, and kill him with a fully charged headshot.
  6. Aim at Medic's head, and attack him with a scoped partially charged "headshot"
  7. Move the crosshair to Medic's body, specifically slightly to the left of his lower visible button right above his glove.
  8. Kill the Medic with a fully charged scoped bodyshot.
  9. Aim for the wooden Soldier target with a non-scoped headshot.
  10. Aim for the wooden Soldier target with a scoped fully charged headshot.
  11. Taunt.
Part 2 – Sniper Movement 1

Two split videos of Sniper, both with Classic. This will demonstrate that charging slows down the player.

  1. Begin charging the right-hand side.
  2. Move forward to the garage door, similar to the Powerjack video, except both are equipped with Classic, one charged and the other not.
Part 3 – Sniper Movement 2

Two split videos of Sniper, both with Classic. This will demonstrate that releasing a charge returns the speed back to normal.

  1. Begin charging the right-hand side.
  2. For the right-hand camera, release the charged shot by shooting at anywhere in front.
  3. Move forward to the garage door, similar to the Powerjack video, except both are equipped with Classic, both of which without the charging.
Part 4 – 2Fort Jump

As RED Sniper, stay at RED's upper battlements (or BLU's upper base if your Sniper is BLU). The aim is to capture that jumping cancels the charge.

  1. At the edge of the battlement, aim straight anywhere, preferably perpendicular to both the corrugated metal frame and the wall.
  2. Charge the Classic to full.
  3. Jump, and attempt to release the shot. Ideally, the Classic shouldn't actually shoot a bullet.
Part 5 – 2Fort, Charging Shot Mid-Air

As RED Sniper, fall down RED's upper battlements (or BLU's upper base if your Sniper is BLU). Place the opposite team's Heavy on the other team on the ground. The aim here is to demonstrate that you can charge shots in mid-air.

  1. Charge the Classic.
  2. Fall while still charging.
  3. Shoot at the Heavy while you are on the ground, still with your charged shot ready. If done correctly, Heavy should be able to be dealt more than 50 damage.
Part 6 – 2Fort, Attempting to Shoot Charged Shot Mid-Air

As RED Sniper, fall down RED's upper battlements (or BLU's upper base if your Sniper is BLU). Place the opposite team's Heavy on the other team on the ground. The aim here is to demonstrate that the shot is cancelled while in mid-air.

  1. Charge the Classic.
  2. Fall while still charging.
  3. Attempt to shoot at the Heavy while in mid-air. If done correctly, Heavy shouldn't be shot because the bullet was not actually shot.

This is personally how I think the video should be run, but if you have other plans to do the video, you can try a different approach to creating the whole complete video. Qwertyxp2000 (talk) 00:30, 2 May 2020 (UTC)

In part 2, it might be worth having a third clip with the Sniper using the stock rifle, walking forward while zoomed in.
Parts 4 and 5 should be done on the demonstration map; to get height you can noclip your way to the top of the crates lying around the room.

Questions and Proposals

Note: This section is for questions and proposals that aren't specific to a single weapon. If you think a demo ought to be remade, then make an entry for it in the Need to be Redone section above and it will be dealt with.

So it appears that the weapon switch speed for every class has increased from 0.67 to 0.5 seconds. Are we going to have to redo all the demonstrations where weapon switching is present? User Obilisk Demo1.png Obilisk 23:00, 25 December 2015 (PST)

No, that's probably too much. — Wind 14:29, 27 December 2015 (PST)

Is there any particular reason we don't allow Collector's quality items to be used in demonstrations? Hail Fellow Well Met (talk) 23:38, 11 January 2016 (PST)

My assumption would be that Collector's quality is rather rare, and as such unrecognizable for most players, since Unique and Vintage have been around for ages all players by now should be able to recognize those. Although as far as I know we haven't talked about including Collector's quality in the suitable list for the Loadout screen, maybe now, being a year and a bit after the Collector's quality has been added, Wind may allow it. Let's see what he says. In my opinion the colour hurts my eyes haha. User Obilisk Demo1.png Obilisk 05:09, 12 January 2016 (PST)
It's definitely not the quality most people watching the video would have the item in. And if they do, then they would already know there's no difference between Collector and non-Collector. The reverse is not as likely.
I also don't think disallowing Collector's quality items prevents people from contributing to these videos. Surely if you manage to get a Collector's item you can also manage to get a non-Collector version of it.
More generally, the allowed qualities the "common" ones such that they are recognizable by most people and don't put up a barrier for contribution. It also prevents the temptation people may have to show off their rare item when they have a non-rare version of it. And having a small restricted set keeps videos consistent. — Wind 18:11, 18 January 2016 (PST)

I'm thinking of doing one of the weapons here, but my graphics card is confused as to whether or not it can record video. Could I record the demos and upload the demos for recording? weatherman115 08:11, 2 February 2016 (PST)

That's not the hard part of the work (the demo rendering/cutting/adding backpack view/music mixing/transitions/muxing/uploading to youtube/etc process is significant) and the review process would be pretty awkward if the responsibility is shared between two people, so I don't think that kind of system would work very well. — Wind 14:46, 6 February 2016 (PST)
I knew there was going to be a problem. I'll see if I can get my card to record video, although I'm afraid that it will break the card. But frankly, it's worked before, so it shouldn't be a problem.
...I would put my graphic card name here, but I'm away from my computer and I can't check from anywhere other than there. I do remember that it's an AMD. weatherman115 07:36, 8 February 2016 (PST)
Found it. It's a Radeon HD 5900 Series. weatherman115 15:09, 8 February 2016 (PST)
Can you find the precise number? 5900 is a wide series. I'm pretty sure they're all good enough to use Source Recorder at 7250p or higher though so I don't think you should have problem rendering as long as you have the correct drivers. — Wind 15:36, 27 February 2016 (PST)
I was actually thinking of using OBS, but that sounds good. Where can I download it?
Also, can I have a non-7zip file of the demonstration map? I don't want to download any more software, and I'm pretty sure Windows 10 can't unzip .7z files. weatherman115 06:28, 2 March 2016 (PST)

For the demonstration config, how do I reset my settings after recording? I'm a very competitive player, so being able to restore my settings would be great. weatherman115 14:45, 17 March 2016 (PDT)
The Source engine configuration file language is very limited. It doesn't have any kind of state-keeping, so there is no way for a config file to be able to undo itself. The only way to have an easy "undo" is rather to have a config file that sets the options you want. Then you can alternate between the two config files in order to switch between one or the other. There's no way for the demonstration-specific config file to figure out what your previous configuration was, so it can't provide a way to undo itself either. Sorry :( — Wind 18:39, 20 March 2016 (PDT)

New Map and Musics For Demonstration

Glad you like the tr_karma map, it has everything, a swimming pool, a pit hole, trees, and birds. I assume you've played the map to see how it looks like. For new musics, i mixed the projector music with the official TF2 soundtrack, two examples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYIblqJNSDM and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdC7L2o_1Y0 I think we definitely should use them too, the current ones are getting old and boring. If you like, i'll upload them here. Also for the config and bots spawning, do you still want the starting bots to be Pyro, Soldier, Medic, and Spy? in my videos, the bots are Demoman, Heavy, Sniper, and Scout. if you want the same setup for the bots, i'll change them, then upload the config file here. Oh yeah last thing, a halloween themed version for the tr_karma will be released soon, since Scream Fortress will be here soon, if there's any new weapons released, can i use that halloween tr_karma to demonstrate? Thanks for the maps. I'm getting some skybox issues with the night version.
Yes, the bots should be the same and spaced the same way such that videos using either maps stay comparable in terms of distance falloff and time-to-kill-each-bot.
For halloween: Yes, as long as it also has a halloween background music as well to complement it. I think this would mark a nice point to transition to the regular tr_karma for demos after that point too (meaning that we keep doing tr_target_weaponref_hdr demos until halloween, then make tr_karma_halloween demos, then make tr_karma demos). — Wind 23:54, 9 October 2016 (PDT)

Question about innacurate demonstration videos.

When the a demo video isn't accurate due to patch changes and such, should it still be displayed on the Item page? or should it be commented out until it is updated? Graysocks (talk) 23:06, 26 October 2017 (PDT)

It should be updated instantly, as I am trying to do above. But windpower is inactive and I can't get em uploaded. Naleksuh (talk) 16:08, 27 October 2017 (PDT)
Ideally it would be updated instantly, but like you said you can't upload them. In addition there are also other ones that are innacurate now, and making the videos will take some more time. So that's why I'm wondering what should be done while the videos are inaccurate. Graysocks (talk) 23:06, 27 October 2017 (PDT)
I'm not really sure. I was considering just replacing the links with my own videos, but I'm not sure how much windpower would like that. Am still waiting on a reply back from him. For now I guess, just leave it how it is. Better to have a partial demonstration than nothing--stats are shown at begin so they can tell if it's old or not. Naleksuh (talk) 10:11, 29 October 2017 (PDT)
Oh hi. I'm here and I try to check this page every weekend or so (sometimes I skip weeks but yeah...). When a video is inaccurate, typically the weapon still retains most of its previous behaviour, and also its appearance (3D model in the game), so the old video still has some value. The {{Weapon Demonstration}} template actually supports an "out of date" mode where it will display a disclaimer for outdated videos (see the last line of {{Weapon Demonstration}}, where it says "scattergun-outdate"). That will display an autotranslated "out-of-date" disclaimer on all pages including this video. — Wind 14:39, 29 October 2017 (PDT)
So I guess I will add that "out-of-date" disclaimed to the out of date videos that I find. Graysocks (talk) 00:50, 7 December 2017 (PST)
Well, I tried that out and it doesn't seem to work. I even looked in the history of the page to make sure I was doing it correctly. I'm not sure what the issue is. The out of date notice doesn't show up with the videos. Graysocks (talk) 05:49, 7 December 2017 (PST)
I checked again a day or so ago, and the out of date notice shows up now. It looks like it takes quite some time to appear. I'll go add it on the other out of date videos I find now. Graysocks (talk) 21:20, 22 December 2017 (PST)

IRC

Is everyone here emotionally attatched to IRC? because I lose all my messages upon restart and if wind wouldn't mind, I wish weapon demos could be discussed on alternative chat sites (Discord, slac, etc).
however, I am still relatively new here so I understand if the answer is "deal with it". Naleksuh (talk) 21:13, 9 November 2017 (PST)
The IRC channel dates back to 2010 or so. People are used to it being there. I would also not want to move it to a proprietary chat service like Slack or Discord.
You can use Riot.im to join channel #freenode_#tfwiki:matrix.org and it will join the #tfwiki Freenode IRC channel through matrix.org, which will keep your messages and will stay connected if you leave.
In the future I plan to set up a proper Matrix version of #tfwiki, which can then automatically bridge users from IRC, Slack, Discord, XMPP, and other protocols together into one virtual channel. I've already started setting it up for #pwiki (the Portal Wiki's IRC channel). — Wind 22:31, 9 November 2017 (PST)
Also, there is a web log of past messages in the channel at https://irc.biringa.com/channel/tfwiki (older logs are available using the top right button on that page). — Wind 22:35, 9 November 2017 (PST)
Yeah, that was kinda what I was expecting for #tfwiki, hence the preemptive "deal with it". however, that stuff cant log pms tho, and my concern is every time I get disconnected I have no idea what you said to me and lost all our record. is there an app for that too xdd The preceding unsigned comment was added by Naleksuh (talk) • (contribs)

Call for YouTube channel management

Oh hi, video demonstrators. I've been lazy on doing reviews and on keeping the YouTube channel up-to-date with the approved demonstrations, and to fix this I'd like to quicken on the first part (quality-checking videos) and recruit people to do the latter part. If you've proven yourself by getting 5 or more videos approved for upload in the past (that means you, Thedop), please reply here to apply. Your responsibilities would be to upload approved videos (not just your own) to the YouTube channel, tagged properly, with the correct thumbnail, and updating the Wiki pages (the weapon page, the dictionary, and the Weapon Demonstration project page's list of demos to do) accordingly. In exchange, I will review your videos on-demand if messaged on IRC, or every weekend otherwise. I'm not pretending this is a fair trade of responsibilities, I just think it's the best thing to do for weapon demonstrations on the wiki as a whole in order to get quality videos out faster given my lack of time. Let me know what you think~ — Wind 01:56, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

Hello Wind, i'm all in to help with the wiki management, but i have some concerns about the upload part because my upload rate is quite "slow" (about 2H for a 6min video for example). I don't mean it is impossible but it would take load of time to uploading most of the current approved videos. I've also some additional questions :
1) What part of the dictionary needs to be updated?
2) All the approved videos must be uploaded at the same time and remain hidden until the last one is uploaded?
3) It is necessary then to upload on Mediafire the approved videos i worked on?
But apart for that, i can provide any help. - Thedop (talk) 19:48, 06 August 2018 (UTC+1)
There's also no rush in uploading past approved videos. Some of them have been pending for weeks before publication, so a few days extra isn't a big deal.
Re: #1: this dictionary: {{Dictionary/demonstrations}}
Additionally, pages which didn't have weapon demonstrations (in all languages) must be edited to add the {{Weapon Demonstration}} template so that they show up on the page.
Re: #2: No, there is no strict schedule. Historically they were released in batches but that's just because that's how I went over their descriptions and tags to make sure they're correct, and YouTube had no "publish this video at this time in the future" functionality before. Now it's possible to upload them hidden, make sure the description and tags etc. are all hidden, and then publish them slowly over time (like 1 a day). But that's not a requirement.
Re: #3: You would upload your own videos to your own channel for review, and once approved you can upload to the wiki channel directly. No MediaFire. — Wind 22:03, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
Understood. - Thedop (talk) 13:27, 13 August 2018 (UTC+1)

    • The split-screen HUDs haven't been updated for the recent updates, personally i would recommend to stick with the demonstration.vpk file from weaponref.7z and changing your resolution directly from the game launch option with -width 960 -height 1080 -window to make your game run in a window at 960x1080 resolution. - Thedop (talk) 10:50, 10 September 2018 (UTC+1)

the Third Degree Demostration doesn't show if the Amputator Taunt links also. Shouldn't it be shown? User MrJohnson Signature.png MrJohnson (talk) 08:34, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

No, on the account that it's a) likely a bug, and b) we generally don't demonstrate interactions with non-stock weapons, unless they're explicitly-coded and important gameplay features (e.g. lighting huntsman arrows on fire) or they're about general properties of non-stock weapons rather than about specific non-stock weapons (e.g. damage bonus against burning players can come from non-flamethrower fire weapons). — Wind 23:38, 16 September 2018 (UTC)

A few days ago Valve removed the thing at the top of the screen that shows players classes and respawn time. But it's still in the WD and it breaks the HUD. File:Broken_wd.jpg I will try to see if I can fix it myself, maybe whoever made it originally can have a go as well. Naleksuh (talk) 20:34, 2 December 2018 (UTC)

Fix : Just type hud_reloadscheme into the console and it will fix :) Naleksuh (talk) 20:48, 2 December 2018 (UTC)

map consistency

I'm been think about redo axtinguisher/postal pumeller demonstrations, but I still dont like how there are 2 different maps for weapon demonstrations. Heck, even the axtinguisher and postal pumeller videos are recorded on different maps. I dont care which map is used, but i'd like if we could all just pick one map and stick with it. Also, i'm make axtinguisher and postal pumeller video once this map thing is settled. Naleksuh (talk) 08:34, 8 April 2019 (UTC)

Both maps are still acceptable. If you're not sure, pick tr_karma. I edited the main page to indicate the preference. — Wind 01:58, 15 April 2019 (UTC)
i'd prefer for only one map eventually, but i guess that's how it is now. Naleksuh (talk) 04:00, 15 April 2019 (UTC)

does anyone know how to edit the item_game.txt in tf2.

does anyone know how to edit the item_game.txt in tf2. i followed the instructions in the Weapon Demonstration and it still wont let me edit the file. Justyn (talk) 21:17, 11 April 2019 (UTC)

why do you want to edit it? there's usually no reason to do that, and probably a better workaround. i'm can tell you how Naleksuh (talk) 21:51, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
I want to experiment the "attach_to_hands" command in the item_game.txt and probably suggest valve on how to fix the viewmodel animations for unique weapons because every weapon uses "attach_to_hands" "1" and some weapons should have updated animations instead of using the stock weapons animations. Justyn (talk) 01:39, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
i think it's better to demonstrate the weapons how they actually are, rather than how they should be. Naleksuh (talk) 04:00, 15 April 2019 (UTC)
i just want to experiment the item_game.txt. I'm not really planning to use it in a weapon demonstrations. Justyn (talk) 00:48, 19 April 2019 (UTC)

Reuploading videos to a different site for Chinese users

A Chinese translator, Dereko(talk), informed me that Chinese users can not access YouTube at all without using a VPN. This means that they can't watch the weapon demonstration videos aswell. I would propose creating a TF Wiki channel on BiliBili (a popular Chinese video site that can be accessed without VPN) and reuploading the videos there, then changing the Weapon Demonstration template to link to BiliBili instead of YouTube when used on a Chinese translation page. I would be able to do the reuploading myself, as it would be fairly easy to automate, but would need help with editing the template. Please add your thoughts below. Killicon flaming huntsman.png VasyaTheWizard (talk) • (contributions) 19:49, 30 July 2019 (UTC)

About the reuploading, wouldn't the videos themselves be different because the game runs in a different language? but that's probably not feasable at this time, since even the english ones take too long. Naleksuh (talk) 03:06, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
In an ideal world there would be a video player on the wiki page itself, but I don't think that'll ever happen. As for the Chinese video site, I guess that's okay for now. Although I think automating it is gonna take a while especially knowing you and making scripts GrampaSwood (talk) 20:06, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
The weapon demonstration videos purposefully incorporate as little explanatory text as possible in order to be used on non-English pages. It should be fine for the chinese weapon pages to use the english videos, like all other language weapon pages do. — Wind 00:31, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
I don't see why not. So, yes. Edit: Does BiliBili allows "Embed", if not, how would we implement on Chinese articles? User Gabrielwoj Signature Icon.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 1.pngUser Gabrielwoj Signature 2.png - User Gabrielwoj Signature 3.png 20:08, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
BiliBili allows "Embed" videos, and I have created a category page for it.However,it seems that we need to add {{#Widget:BilibiliVideo}} to make it works.Dereko (talk) 03:47, 31 July 2019 (UTC)
Can you instead use a video site supported by the addon currently installed for videos on this wiki, EmbedVideo? There's a list of supported services here. Youku likely works in China.
Supporting BiliBili would require either submitting code to the EmbedVideo source tree, or adding custom JavaScript code in MediaWiki:Common.js to replace some pre-designated template with a video player embed. — Wind 02:56, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
Youku is not very popular among Chinese users. It also has advertisements before videos, while BiliBili doesn't. JavaScript is dark magic to me, so I don't know how hard adding it would be - maybe a user who is experienced with it could help us out? Inspect animations

Maybe a video with all inspect animations in it? It might be unnecessary to put it on the wiki channel itself, but I'm making one anyways for on the Weapons page so if you want one on the wiki channel I can give you the vid once it's done.
GrampaSwood (talk) 07:53, 3 August 2019 (UTC)

i think it should be put in each weapon's demonstration, but that's not an easy task and also means we lose the machina demonstration :(
if that gets rejected then it probably would a good idea Naleksuh (talk) 00:05, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
Updating it every time a new weapon gets added would be too much churn. Inspect animations are already allowed in individual weapon demonstration videos (Ctrl+F "inspect" on the project page), but they are optional. — Wind 02:56, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
one thing i really hate is inconsistency. my next demonstration will probably be the telefrag, then the postal pumeller in which i'll inspect. after that i think it would be best to rethink the demonstration process. Naleksuh (talk) 03:10, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
So, on wiki channel yes or no?
GrampaSwood (talk) 19:43, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
No, not because it's not relevant but because it would be too high-maintenance. — Wind 00:18, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
Fair, I would be up to update it every time new weapons come out. With the current state of TF2, I don't think that will be a lot. I can just squeeze them in when they get added.

ConTracker poses

Pictogram wait.png This demonstration has been reserved: GrampaSwood (talk)
Should there be a ConTracker poses video showing off all the poses? They're different for all classes, kind of like a taunt demonstration.
GrampaSwood (talk) 15:05, 10 August 2019 (UTC)

That would be cool, yeah — Wind 00:31, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
Just one question, how would I do this? Can I somehow show it off on my own or do I need a separate player?
GrampaSwood (talk) 08:08, 12 August 2019 (UTC)

Projectile Shield

Pictogram wait.png This demonstration has been reserved: GrampaSwood (talk)
Projectile Shield says there's a need for a video, should this also be an official demo or just a video demonstrating some features on an unaffiliated channel? Either way, it would be nice to know what kinds of things there should be shown off in the video.
GrampaSwood (talk) 23:39, 17 August 2019 (UTC)

I vote for official channel on every future time you ask this. Unless you want to make the projectile shield wiki. Naleksuh (talk) 02:58, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
Yes, this should definitely be on the official channel — Wind 00:18, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
"it would be nice to know what kinds of things there should be shown off in the video."
Short list:
  • Stopping bullets, rockets, grenades, stickies, scout throws
    • Do grenades, stickies, scout throws explode or bounce off?
    • Do rocket (etc.) detonations on the shield cause splash damage to teammates in front of the shield?
  • Comparison of shield width between 1st and 2nd upgrade.
  • Graphics of protection cones for Medic and others in different places behind the shield.
  • Comparison of damage done to robots by 1st and 2nd upgrade.
    • Comparison of damage done to bots vs tanks.
    • Can shield damage crit?
  • Mechanism where bot attacks get past the shield:
    • Splash damage around edge of shield
    • Walking the shield over pre-detonate grenades.1
    • Walking the shield over stickies.1
    • How Scorch Shot interacts with shield?.
    • How Flame (or other) particles are affected ( I think there is some protection ). (compare shield/no shield/upgrade).
    • How bots can still attack "through" the shield (shooting and melee, particularly giants and Demoknights) when they are embedded in the shield.
    • Any effect of upgrade level on the above.

1A common way I get killed behind my shield is explosion damage. I have not figured out if they are always grenades that bounce around the edge of the shield or if the shield can pass over grenades on the ground or stickies, or if some amount of splash damage can get through the shield if detonated just outside the shield. M I K A D O 282 oOOOOo oo oo (talk) (Help Wanted!) 14:51, 31 August 2019 (UTC)
This is great! Thanks, I have a bit of a direction now. I do want to know, however, how would I do this? Probably not on AI robots, maybe use custom skins to make the puppet bots appear as robots? Maybe use regular users? This question is more for Windpower. I think it might be useful to only demonstrate stuff that's currently being used in official content. (Stickies do not appear afaIk).
GrampaSwood (talk) 15:12, 31 August 2019 (UTC)
See clarification on stickies. M I K A D O 282 oOOOOo oo oo (talk) (Help Wanted!) 22:41, 31 August 2019 (UTC)
That's a pretty nice list, but also consider to not try to demonstrate all the edge cases, especially those that aren't intended and likely to get patched away soon (e.g. the scorch shot case is likely a bug more than a feature). This avoids a redo down the line...
As for how to demonstrate this, whatever map was used here would be good... Doesn't have to be on tr_target_whatever since this is a MvM-only feature. If you want you could also use a human Soldier in the robot halloween costume if you'd like to add a bit of humor to it... Options are open. — Wind 22:17, 1 September 2019 (UTC)
Fair enough. There is some research needed for the shield function main article, but not necessary for the demo.
The basic demo should be instructional -- basic elements: upgrading, charging, activation and duration, blocking bot attack, and damaging bots:
  • How to upgrade, how to charge, how to activate (believe me, I had trouble finding out on the wiki how to do the last this April, I had to adjust my binds)
    • Basic charging by Overheal
    • Then charging by healing teammate Damage, healing teammates who are damaging Robots, or Reanimating fallen teammates. (Maybe this is unnecessary because these are all things the Medic should be doing continuously anyway.)
    • If done, this could be a four-way side-by-side, I would expect overheal charging to be slower
  • What the shield blocks and what it does not, by design (leave projectile penetration and other bugs out)
  • I visualize a tr_target sort of an affair; in a converse of the POV shooting the same weapon at different classes, having the different classes shooting their stock primaries at the Medic with a first upgrade shield up.
    • But for the Pyro's attacks, compare side-by-side shield down vs first upgrade shield up (only because it seemed to me to block some proportion of the particles don't do the comparison if I am wrong), only do the second upgrade if there is more protection from particles. (the normal tr_target video may have a problem here if the low wall blocks some proportion of particles)
  • How to damage robots with the shield.
    • Basic: Side-by-side time to kill a scout bot and a heavy bot (going though all classes separately is tedious and adds nothing, IMO).
    • Maybe kill a cloaked or disguised spybot.
    • Maybe show crit effect (if any, can't recall) would be overdoing it, crits are not a normal part of basic weapon demos?
    • Maybe show reduced damage on Tanks, this is intermediate tactical training, maybe a side-by-side of Medic Melee vs Shield.
    • Maybe show stopping a wave of melee scout bots at a choke.
Intermediate instructional elements: (of the sort I think I see in some demos)
  • Effects of the second upgrade on width and damage, the point being to inform the player of the cost/benefits of the second upgrade (yes, this should be in diagrams and tables on the main article, but is this the sort of content in weapon demos (e.g., how conditions affect damage))
  • A side-by-side of the charge and duration times with first and second upgrades (IIRC, this is sort of comparison is standard in demos with buildings)
Advanced:
  • Four-way side-by-side of the charge and duration (if any) of the shield depending on which Med Gun type is equipped.
  • Long range demo melee still hits the Medic (corner case?)

Sappers in mvm and mannpower powerup showcase

Pictogram wait.png This demonstration has been reserved: GrampaSwood (talk)
Friend of mine contacted me for two ideas (as listed in the title) for a demonstration. How sappers in mvm work and how mannpower powerups work. I'd be willing to do these, but they might be unnecessary
GrampaSwood (talk) 21:16, 24 August 2019 (UTC)

These sound interesting (in separate videos though) and should go on the channel as well — Wind 00:18, 25 August 2019 (UTC)

Dueling Banjo

I can't exactly remember, but I think somewhere was said that if a taunt has an official demonstration (such as the dueling banjo) it should not get one made for the wiki. However, I think we might need an exception for the banjo (and maybe a few others as they do not show off everything sometimes). The Banjo's "demonstration" does not show the secondary mode. Maybe this should be demonstrated?
GrampaSwood (talk) 21:18, 28 August 2019 (UTC)

I think the rule should be removed completely. Valve's videos are "sneak peeks" NOT full demonstrations and almost all of them lack something important. Naleksuh (talk) 21:16, 28 August 2019 (UTC)
Agreed, a lot of them don't cover anything.
Makes sense, but the presence of a wiki-created taunt demonstration shouldn't displace the valve-official video from the demonstration page — Wind 22:17, 1 September 2019 (UTC)
Eait, isn't the whole point of these demonstrations to make sure there's one video per page? Maybe the valve videos could be linked to in the info box but i don't think it should be embedded. Naleksuh (talk) 07:19, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
The point is that there's one demonstration video per page. You could see one the Valve video as an ad and the wiki-created one as a reference demonstration. — Wind 23:39, 8 September 2019 (UTC)
Jungle Inferno taunts have been added back to the "needed" title, alongside with Mannrobics and the Kazotsky Kick. — Thedop (talk) 08:46, 2 September 2019 (UTC)
Can the demonstrations at least be above the valve videos? Naleksuh (talk) 03:49, 25 September 2019 (UTC)
Yes. — Wind 00:07, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

Is there a set demonstration for the Isolationist Pack and the Isolated Merc? Specifically how they work together?
GrampaSwood (talk) 15:39, 1 September 2019 (UTC)

Nope, otherwise it would be linked to from the page. Feel free to make something. — Wind 22:17, 1 September 2019 (UTC)

can i do the videos in 720p?

demonstration page says i can, but i remember there were complaints about it before? Naleksuh (talk) 05:13, 4 September 2019 (UTC)

Perhaps it's time to change the requirement. That requirement was written in 2010, almost a decade ago. Online video streaming quality has gone a long way since then. Changed the requirement. — Wind 23:39, 8 September 2019 (UTC)

New "Mechanic demonstration" headline for the demonstration thumbnails

TF2wiki members and viewers suggested to replace the actual title "Weapon Demonstration" used for these two demonstrations (airblast and telefrag) by something like "Mechanic Demonstration".
I tried to simulate the style Pilk used for them but it doesn't looks as great as his own work: https://imgur.com/a/W4MQEsH. If somebody is better than me for that... — Thedop (talk) 09:58, 5 September 2019 (UTC)

Looks pretty close to me. Needs a more spread-out drop shadow and a slightly darker gradient on the letters. It helps to have both images open at full-size in different tabs. Alternatively, try to set your image to 50% transparency and overlay it on top of the reference image, then try to align the word "Demonstration" (since it should be pretty much the same) and experiment with styling that word alone until you get it close. — Wind 23:39, 8 September 2019 (UTC)
Alternatively, you could take the existing File:Demo_thumb_hat_heading.png, cut out the "hat" (so that it just says "Demonstration", extend the gradient on both sides to bring it back to 2560 pixels wide (centering the word "Demonstration"), and now you've got a general-purpose "Demonstration" thumbnail header. — Wind 23:40, 8 September 2019 (UTC)
I managed to find the font used for making them and applied the changes you advised me to do, so it should look a bit better.
The headline
With a thumbnail. — Thedop (talk) 14:06, 9 September 2019 (UTC)
Looks great! — Wind 00:38, 16 September 2019 (UTC)

Music in taunts with music

I've seen several comments ask if the demonstration music can be left out when there's a taunt with music. Examples are the Kazotsky kick and Mannrobics. Maybe leave it out of them? I can easily remove them because I still have all original files and also the project file, so it's just a small delete. Alternatively, I could turn it down a bit
GrampaSwood (talk) 10:28, 26 September 2019 (UTC)

Sure, seems like a reasonable request to have no demonstration music for these. — Wind 00:07, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
Runner's Rhythm without music, Banjo without music, Kazotsky Kick no music, Mannrobics without music. Let me know if I should have these uploaded on my channel.
GrampaSwood (talk) 00:07, 13 October 2019 (UTC)
You already did this, but to answer this in general: yes, videos should always be uploaded to YouTube, in order to confirm that there was no rendering artifact or sound glitch or whatnot which can happen even when the source material is OK. — Wind 17:51, 20 October 2019 (UTC)

April Fool's

Since April Fool's is coming up, I'd thought maybe doing an April Fool's demonstration with a joke-y topic along with the Wiki going joke mode. Personally I thought of doing a reference pose demonstration for this year. Although I don't know what to do in any following years, if the game is still running by then.

All-class cosmetic changes

The all-class cosmetics, although a bit useless because they're the exact same as every other one, are a huge pain to make. Showing off every single class for a cosmetic might be a bit too much considering they're all the same, maybe showing it off on 1 class in-game but showing it off on all classes on the loadout screen would be better so you don't have to put as many resources into 1 video (I think my attempt has like 40 clips)
GrampaSwood (talk) 11:55, 9 February 2020 (UTC)

Yeah. In retrospect this was a terrible thing to even make a long video about each of them. The pitfall of strong consistency, I guess.
I will amend the project page to say that cosmetics with the same behavior across all classes no longer have to demonstrate the gameplay effect (killfeed message) on any class beyond the first one. Still gotta demonstrate what the item looks like on each class though. — Wind 01:02, 10 February 2020 (UTC)

OTFW videos

Should these videos be redone?
GrampaSwood (talk) 15:03, 17 April 2020 (UTC)

They're all pretty old now, so yeah, they could be replaced by more modern videos like the item demonstration ones — Wind 04:11, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

Bilibili channel irregularly report #1

Greetings everyone, I have been assisting with the management of Bilibili channel of our Wiki since April 6 this year. And here is a report based on audience feedback and work history.

I am not sure if I should put it here, if you have a better idea please let me know. I will put more irregularly reports in the future if there are more constructive suggestions from our audience.

Suggestions from Audience:
  • Press F to inspect the item at the beginning in our future weapon demonstration videos.
  • Make and upload a demontration video for Mannpower mode to demonstrate different Powerups.
  • Make and upload (a) demontration video(s) to demonstrate the effects of Halloween Spells.
Work History:
  • Created our account and applys a Chinese nickname: TFWiki官方中文频道 (spaces are not allowed for nicks in Bilibili).
  • Uploaded demonstration videos and Meet the Team series in other languages we had uploaded to Youtube and applied Chinese covers to them.
    • I found Grappling Hook should be "action item" instead of "weapon", and I have reported Mr.Tark about it.
  • Added Bilibili video links to the Template:Dictionary/demonstrations.
  • I wrote a column to declare the establishment of our channel and the applications of Biliili embedded video.
  • I posted the news of Mr.Rick May, Code leak and today's Twitter posts from Valve, with necessary source links and translation work.
  • I answered some questions (for example, how to get a Black Rose) and guided them how to solve these questions by checking our Wiki pages.

Here I should express our thanks to Mr.Tark once again, you are our hero.

User Dereko Name.png 15:36, 23 April 2020 (UTC)

Hey Dereko, for the first point I'd like to address that this is not part of the official routine yet. But there's only 2 people, Thedop and me, working on it lately. We do inspect stuff, and I don't think it'll change any time soon. As for the second point, that was already an idea (Listed above somewhere). The spell idea is a good idea, and I'd like to do it as well, but we'll have to discuss specifics. As for now, Wind seems occupied with real life so not much is happening here.
GrampaSwood (talk) 22:29, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
Actually the "Inspect" is part of the "official routine", I added it a little while ago to the main project page (Ctrl+F "inspect"). But there are some many videos out there now that redoing all of them just for the inspect animation would be way too much work for too little benefit.
Powerups and spell videos would be great, agreed.
Thanks for your work establishing this, and for reporting in with the findings~ — Wind 04:11, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

https://youtu.be/3gfLEbMUEc4 Shork985 (talk) 02:10, 6 January 2021 (UTC)

First of all, the Chemistry set demostration was already reserved for GrampaSwood.
Second, in the section "Chemistry set" other guy did a chemistry set demostration long time ago. You are making the same mistakes than him. Not starting in the first page of the backpack
Now, a few things: 1. You are not showing the item properly. 2. There should be only the chemistry set in the first page of the backpack. 3. You should not edit the velocity of the video or anything else. Therefore, using the "Festive jarate" chemistry set would not be recommendable unless you want to do a 4 minutes video of moving the jarates in their slots. 4. Not sure about this, but you're not using the highest graphic options.
It seems that you didn't read the guidelines for making a demostration. That said, remember that the demostration is already reserved by Grampaswood. · Ashe (talk) 03:05, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
