The Hermes is a community-created headwear item for the Scout. It is a team-color tinted beige cadet hat with the Scout's logo emblazoned on the front, with team-colored goggles placed above the brim.
The Hermes was contributed to the Steam Workshop under the name "Provisional Head Protector".

- Hermes was added to the game.
Bugs
- The Hermes has clipping issues with the back and top of the Scout's head. The creator has confirmed this and created a fix which has yet to be implemented.[1]
Trivia
- In Greek mythology, Template:W is the messenger of the Gods, best known for his ability to move extremely quickly. The Scout's class icon (displayed above the brim of the hat) is taken from Hermes' winged shoes.
- The term "Template:W" is used as a term to describe attacking the bearer of bad news.
