The Fancy Fedora is a cosmetic item for the Spy. It is a team-colored, felt fedora that sits atop the Spy's balaclava.
The item's description was written by Kenori for the Hat Describing Contest, and was slightly edited by Valve.

- The Fancy Fedora was made paintable.

January 25, 2013 [Item schema update]
- The Fancy Fedora was removed from the item drop system and Mann Co. Store, and can no longer be uncrated with Unusual quality or crafted.[1]

Notes
- Due to how the textures are set up, painting the Fancy Fedora with single color Paint Cans results in different colorization between teams.
- The Fancy Fedora can be worn by Atlas and P-body in Portal 2's co-op mode.[2]
Trivia
- The Fancy Fedora actually resembles a trilby more than it does a fedora. Fedoras have wider brims and were more popular in the USA, while the trilby was more popular in Europe including France, where the Spy is from.
