I just tore you a new chimney, Smokey Joe!
The Soldier after seeing the Medic's new pipe

The Steam Pipe is a community-created cosmetic item for the Medic. It is a robotic version of the Nine-Pipe Problem, with the pipe now resembling a stove pipe. The Medic's glasses are also replaced by goggles-like eyewear, complete with glowing team-colored lenses and a "Genteel Smoke" particle effect coming from the pipe.

The Steam Pipe was contributed to the Steam Workshop.

Notes

  • The item description incorrectly spells Nikola Tesla's name as "Nikolai" (a Russian variant as opposed to Tesla's Serbian).

Trivia

  • The item's name is a reference to SteamPipe, Steam's current content delivery system, which was integrated into Team Fortress 2 weeks prior to the item's addition.
  • The item description references actor Gary Oldman, who played the vampire Count Dracula in the 1992 film Bram Stoker's Dracula with distinctive glasses.
