The Soldier

The Steam Pipe was contributed to the Steam Workshop under the name "The 00111001-Pipe Problem".

Trivia

  • This item's name is a reference to SteamPipe, Steam's current content delivery system, which was integrated into Team Fortress 2 weeks prior to the item's addition.
  • In the workshop submission's name, the number 00111001 is the binary equivalent of the ASCII character 9, a reference to the Nine-Pipe Problem.
